I know some didn't want this BUT... Laila Ali would come out of retirement to fight Claressa Shields

Why can't you make your point without being snarky? Judging from your previous posts caustic responses seem to be your modus operandi.
That's regrettable because a snide comment encapsulated within what may be a valid point only cheapens it. :hmm:

"Why can't you..."

Ya learned something today. Quit being soft. Look how you sound.

You just validated my assertion that you seem incapable of making a point without including uncalled for sarcasm. Btw, lol'ing your own comments is just lame. :smh:

This shit won't be competitive... Shields may not KO Laila, but a TKO isn't outta the question. She will box circles around Laila. This shit is about to look like Fury/Wilder II. Shields is underrated as fuck by casuals who think her only having two TKOs in 10 fights means she's at a disadvantage. Nah.

Hey hey now, I gave a very honest and unbiased opinion. I admit that on paper 10-0 with 2 KOs looks a lil low compared to 24-0, 22 KOs. However when you consider the last fight was 13 years ago and the age of the veteran fighter is now 42..... yeah that's gonna be a much different fight than the paper stats.

But to Laila's credits she says she stays in the gym....hopefully she hasn't been completely oblivious to how the sport of women's boxing has changed since 2007....

Shields is faster, she's younger....

But Laila has the reach, had and may still have the power....one thing you can't fake is experience. Is laila's still experienced enough to avoid obvious punches /traps? Does she still have enough fundamentals and ring IQ to be a competitor and aggressor like she was in years past?

And you tripled down on being a lil bitch. Let's move on, shall we? You can't be so soft on a message board son. Man up

13 years out of the ring is more concerning than the age difference. She would definitely need a bunch of tune ups. Going str8 into a fight with Clarissa would be a bad look with that much time off.

Fam, let's be honest about those 22 KOs... Laila's competition in the infancy of women's boxing as a major sport was nowhere near the level of Claressa's. For the most part, Laila was knocking old broads, soccer moms, and unskilled cans. Plus, she ducked Ann Wolfe, who would likely still beat her today. No disrespect to Laila, but if Ali wasn't her last name, we wouldn't even be talking about her. Claressa made a name for herself.

Hey you better get on to work. I don't want you to lose your career job flipping those burgers.
There ya go. Fight back and quit being a pussy. Now let's get back to what the thread is about. Two women fighting. Not a man (ME) Bickering with a bitch (YOU)

I wanna talk ABOUT Laila and Clarissa. I feel like I'm talking TO one of em right now.

It's easy to understand why you're one of the most disliked people on the Board. People like you who are all negative, all the time, invariably have no life, no friends, and a near non-existent sex life. Hell, it's a safe bet the only person you get to fuck is yourself and you have to pay for that.

She's been secretly in the gym for awhile (Claressa finding out through her sources)

Don't do it Laila. She's too young, too fast and too crafty and you may not even lay a glove on her :smh:

I'll believe it when I see it but if it happens, I'm going with the youngin with this one

This shit will be huge. It'll bring all the casuals out.

You really think it's important to be "liked" on a message board. Think about that.

This might just be the dumbest exchange I've ever been involved in. I gave you like 3 replies not related to the topic. This is the last one.

She needs a tune up fight first
Not worth it. She wants 5 mil. Ain't no other fight paying that and she ain't never gotten that in tbe ring before. She may as well jump right in, hope for the best, and get that check.

If she gets a tune up, and loses that, that's even worse. If she tunes up, it better be a smoker somewhere we can't see it.

That would be Lucia Rijker. As far as I know, Wolfe has never faced a man in a professional fight.
You're right, I should've been more specific. In an interview there was a discussion of sparring with men because women would not. I heard she once fought a man in a non-sanctioned bout, but I did not look for that info. As far as who is the best, I'm a fan of hers, so I guess I'm biased. She got that right hand of God, lol.

From Wikipedia:
"Ann Wolfe (born January 17, 1971) is an American former boxer who held world titles in three different weight classes simultaneously.[1] Wolfe is regarded by many within the sport as the greatest fighter in the history of women's boxing.[2] She's also a personal trainer and coach of several professional boxers, including former light middleweightcontender James Kirkland.[3] She appears in the 2017 film Wonder Woman in the supporting role of the Amazon Artemis."

Sounds like she ready to run Claressa that fade
She may have been outside the ring for to long. It is good she keeps in shape. But it has been to long since she has had any fighting in the ring. Especially on the level she may try to step to again. Mayweather came out of retirement and almost got in trouble. A few more rounds and he may have been in trouble.

They're fighters. They get paid to fight, win or lose, and test themselves against the best. If she lost, she has a built excuse. If she wins, she's truly truly greatest ever. And either way she gets a nice check and all the pub that goes with it. I don't see people shitting on Layla for losing a fight at 43 (let's assume.it takes to next year to have it)

She has a perfect record. What you said is true. But some whites seriously do not like that record and legacy she is leaving behind. Especially with the mouth her father had. He was the greatest but he refused to go into the military and fight for greed and white power. Mayweather has a perfect record also with no loss. Unlike Ali he has no record of standing against the same system. They may hate his perfect record but actually they are not as upset as if he was not showing his real colors in there face when they feel he should show his thankfulness to white power and all it does. So what you are saying is true but I think Laila should should just stay pretty and just easily let her dads genes haunt white power. She is still the greatest just like her dad. Her dad use to use bee pollen sometimes when he trained. When they stripped him of his license and refused to let him fight. He may have gotten away from using that. As far as him being threatened with jail for not fighting. He was only showing common sense and a black thinking for himself. How can we justify picking up weapons for them but never can use weapons in defense of real blackness and black power? We had a race war in New Orleans but still will work and pay taxes for white rule. Even if they put a black over things he has to promote a white reality or they get rid of that person. From school teachers to governors and more.
The limelight can go to peoples heads and sometimes they get off course, like with Malcolm X and using him to destroy a message about the true identity and history of blacks and the true identity and history of whites.
