this is how Arabs/MEners and North Africans (some of whom are dark-complected and dusky as hell) get to CHOOSE white and thus not be treated as dark skin people are treated or perceived as it...it also speaks in part to why when they get here they look down their noses at American Blacks.

I disagree. Most people aren't about shit and that goes for every race. Key in on the word "meaningfully." What work are most black people doing for black America, either in deed or advocacy? (To be clear, the same could be said of white people but majorities don't get evaluated that way-- this is more a commentary on people than black people, but filtered through the lens of black America specifically.) Tlaib is a leader, most people aren't. And she has a pro-black agenda, unlike the majority of "leaders" or politicians of any race in this country.

But you're overlooking that the census determines how funding is allocated and certain communities get more funding or easier access because on paper they classify as white and even if face to face they get rejected then they can scream discrimination and get attention on that level. Again it speaks to why many foreigners can come here....get loans get access paperwork wise then turn around and look at blacks and say I don't understand why you can't blah blah blah...They may choose white on paper but the reality is they will be treated by whites as anything but. They gotta keep their numbers up by any means possible. Once they run afoul of the Law or there is some issue, the distinction is made known without a doubt. Same shit with Mexicans too...count them as White for our numbers but when shit happens you vilify them as Brown muhfuckas.
Once these groups insist on splitting away because they have a significant number, that reduces the percentage that Anglo and Germanic CACs can tout. That's why the reel at the thought of true numbers being revealed because it'll continue to erode the idea that they hold of this being a White country.
These CACs don't want the Census to be a surprise DNA Test results that show them what blood courses through their veins.

It may seem that way to some of our perspective, but it's really to disenfranchise us and keep white peoples racial census numbers up, for some it is a benefit, aka Hoda Kotb and Paula Abdul types, those N. Africans and African decedent Arabs have it much harder than we think, putting White down on a piece of paper does not change crackas hating eyes and deep seeded racism, so between "sand nigga" and "terrorist" trust it's no easier for them as it is for us, all victims of the white mans greed and insecurities.
...and yes a few of them clownishly try to look down on Black Americans but that just wearing their ignorance on their sleeves, so I'm cool with it, easiest way to deal with hate is identify it, it's usually rooted in ignorance or honesty but both are effective indicators of what your dealing with.
