this is how Arabs/MEners and North Africans (some of whom are dark-complected and dusky as hell) get to CHOOSE white and thus not be treated as dark skin people are treated or perceived as it...it also speaks in part to why when they get here they look down their noses at American Blacks.
He was making an overall macro point. Why does that upset you?You don't even address this woman's strong denunciation and takedown of her being lumped in with white people.
Yes. His post wasnt an example of displaying personal bigotry tho. I also didnt take it as a slight at Tlaib. He was expounding on the initial issue and commenting on how it fosters racist sentiment among some of the so-called middle easterns.Bigotry is macro by definition. It should upset any thinking person. As should the inability to consider or even take in new information.
You should probably change "most" to "some". In fact, not probably, absolutely.Rashida Tlaib is more meaningfully pro-black than most black Americans.

Nah.. Thats subjective semantical bullshit. Id rather stick to the quantifiable hardline "most". The very notion is outright disrespectful and patently ignorant and dismissive of the majority of black people and their existence and experience.I disagree. Most people aren't about shit and that goes for every race. Key in on the word "meaningfully."

Check yourself man.
Hey asshole, who do you think got EVERY civil rights, equal protection, and affirmative action legislation passed to begin with? Whose efforts sparked immigration legislation changes which led to Tlaids family being able to come here to begin with?I understand. But I don't have to pretend. Are black Americans generally making demands for affirmative action and reparations (using both terms broadly, not as in college tie-breakers and a check) or real economic upliftment?
Ignorance is bliss and you seem to be embracing what feels good over what is. Don't bullshit yourself, man. Have higher standards. We can and will do better but it starts with demanding more.

‘Bout damn time people in this country are starting to get it. It only took, what, 400 years?Yes. People are starting to get it.
I think its admirable that she called it out on an official level but what was the response from the white man in charge of the dept???You don't even address this woman's strong denunciation and takedown of her being lumped in with white people. Just shit out your preexisting bullshit opinion, talking generally about how "they" look down their noses at blacks as you shit all over a real ally of black people in the process.
Some people will pass up tickets to the Kentucky Derby to beat a dead horse instead.
But you're overlooking that the census determines how funding is allocated and certain communities get more funding or easier access because on paper they classify as white and even if face to face they get rejected then they can scream discrimination and get attention on that level. Again it speaks to why many foreigners can come here....get loans get access paperwork wise then turn around and look at blacks and say I don't understand why you can't blah blah blah...They may choose white on paper but the reality is they will be treated by whites as anything but. Someone looking down on you doesn't mean shit as long as you refuse to diminish yourself by "looking up".![]()
there is no such thing as “pro-black”
if you are “pro-black” that makes you “pro-white” by default, wanting to be equal to the caucasian when the so-called black race is superior. Don’t get fooled by the indoctrination of programming from the white power structure. Why else would they need to oppress us?

It didn't take 400 years. There have been different things to "get" during different times. This is in reference to how other groups who haven't been here 400 years identify.‘Bout damn time people in this country are starting to get it. It only took, what, 400 years?

Awww you're so understanding. It may seem that way to some of our perspective, but it's really to disenfranchise us and keep white peoples racial census numbers up, for some it is a benefit, aka Hoda Kotb and Paula Abdul types, those N. Africans and African decedent Arabs have it much harder than we think, putting White down on a piece of paper does not change crackas hating eyes and deep seeded racism, so between "sand nigga" and "terrorist" trust it's no easier for them as it is for us, all victims of the white mans greed and insecurities.
...and yes a few of them clownishly try to look down on Black Americans but that just wearing their ignorance on their sleeves, so I'm cool with it, easiest way to deal with hate is identify it, it's usually rooted in ignorance or honesty but both are effective indicators of what your dealing with.
