If they are able to replace Kuzma with equal or greater value, then certain teams would be “helping” the Lakers.

Kuzma is not an easy replacement considering most of the talent is locked in.
I think they need another outside threat for a dominating playoff run. Teams are going to adjust to stop those long outlets on defensive rebounds that AD has been getting easy baskets on and force the Lakers to beat them in the half court. Kuz is young and promising but he’s been too inconsistent.

The Lakers have a pretty decent half-court style, especially on the defensive where they excel. Kuzma has been no more inconstant than KCP, but the energy off the bench is going to be a huge factor deep in the playoffs. I agree they need more outside shooting, but he is 6’8, young, and athletic. His defensive presence will make them more versatile on the perimeter when they need extra bodies.

I’m not sure trading him is the best move for the Lakers.

Powell is all over the place on both ends of the floor. Very athletic guy that can protect the rim. Can defend most wings with his wingspan and lateral quickness. With the addition of the three point shot and Luka getting all the attention from teams defense, it’s another way he impacts the game. No knock on Boban at all though. He’ll get more minutes with Powell injured. Powell is still developing his offensive game. He probably won’t be the same after this injury as far as his explosiveness off the floor though.

Yeah Powell‘s great on the Mavs! Like you said, he’s all over the floor on offense and defense! Catching lobs, dude was a nice fit and he’ll be missed!

This is the crazy shit to me. Lou is averaging damn near 30 min a game, avg 20 and 6, for 8 MIL. Nah man fuck all that.

I thought they upped him to like 20 million a year this offseason or some shit like that? Still a favorable deal forth but I didn't know it was only 8.

Just horrible from top to bottom. Not picking Luka set them back another 5 years alone

Yeah and I don't know what happened there. I thought Luka said he thought he was gonna be a King. I thought Divacs wanted him.......

Man you can kind of see when these drafts happen who is gonna regret that shit later on. Like soon as the Sixers drafted Fultz I knew it would be a regret. Bagley was another one of those guys. Jonathan Isaacs....I just don't see it. Maybe because I feel like with a top 5 pick you should get a least a All Star.

But shit one dude I was wrong about was Luka. Thought that muthafucka was gonna be Ginobilli at best.

Nah, dude is a lethargic bum.
Naw he's not a bum. He's just not what his draft status was. But based on his skillset.....they can get a lot of him if he wants that. Mind you Dwight Powell was a throw-in when we traded for Rondo. Low-key he saved that trade from being dreadful. Before him was Tyson Chandler. Before that was Desagna Diop, Ian Mahimi......they seem to get a lot of out of BIGS who other teams don't want.

I saw potential is WCS in SAC, but the coaches got tired of him for some reason. Seems Kerr wasn't broken up on letting him go either.

Time will tell.

Like I said, Powell has the tools. He just looks lost on the floor most of the time IMO.

He was a low skill energy player in college. Issue is once you pay those dudes, do they care anymore?

Horribly run team.

Man i forgot all about Bagley . :smh:

IMO Bagley is a 6th man. He can give you 15 or 20, but he's not doing anything else like block shots or play defense.

Sacramento has the all average and underwhelming team.

Too big to not be able to offer nothing but points. Shit that's basically what Harrell in Clipps give you. No 2nd overall pick should be giving you that shit.

I think Powell is just this weird type of player in this league. He's that fine line between a starter and a bench player. I personally wouldn't have him start for me but I guess if he's next to Porzingis you can get away with that. Cauley don't got a jumper like him though so that's gonna be missed. Powell just fit exactly what they needed.

I mean, you saw in college he didn't care about defense. :dunno:

and he's an average rebounder.

and he'a athletic, but he's not that athletic or long.

He was the ultimate college player, because he was highly skilled offensively for a big.

I guess Sacramento went with the "safe" pick. But when you suck like Sacramento and always make the wrong decision. You should go for the player who has the upside of an All Star and difference maker. Their whole culture needs to be different.

Fuckin James cries too much. :smh:
