Michael Harriott from The Root with an amazing thread about Andrew Johnson, Lincoln, the KKK and impeachment

@exiledking is from the “racism is a thing of the past so black ppl should get over it and pull themselves up by their bootstraps” conservative school of thought.

Yup. Definitely not our biggest problem. Not even close. I know y'all want it to be , but it ain't. Liberal white people will tell you that in their papers, and race hustlers like Al.sharpton get rich offcoddling you. I won't. I happen to believe Black people are capable. Sorry

You answer my questions and I will answer yours. What determines if a historical document is legitimate or not? And what determines if a “Moorish” sect is legitimate or not?

Why do you keep posting cryptic questions and statements pertaining to the Sultan of Morocco, Black’s Law Dictionary, et al rather than laying out your argument in its entirety?

I would think that you enlightened Moors would seek to educate us lost “blacks/negros” who believe our ancestors were sold into slavery in West Africa and brought to the “New World”.

what determines if an historical document is legit or not..

simple when you present it as evidence to your argument and it never gets debunked by naysayers such as yourself..

your way of trying to debunk it, is ask me a thousand questions, get me on defense and hope I slip up..

you been tryin it forever bruh...

so were you born a muslim or just converted..??

NOI.. Sunni???

This was a very good read!!
What the author, Michael Harriott did here was to layout of the history of the Black struggle and fight for equal rights and protections under the Law. He hits just about all of the milestones and markers on the road to obtaining Civil Rights and which Amendments were supposed to ensure those rights and protections.

Aside from banning slavery, Steven's version of the 13th Amendment had one extra clause that scared the fuck out of the moderates and angered Johnson.

He didn't think there was ANY way that those Southern States would agree to one extra sentence

Everyone who hears the sentence would SWEAR its in the Constitution, but it's not.

It never has been.

People have been fighting for years to get it included.

Harriott may as well have ended this piece by writing, "I said all of that to say this."

It's SEVEN WORDS ["All persons are equal before the law." ]

This sentence STILL isn't in the Constitution but Stevens' words are actually included in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

It's why we still have to pass laws against LGBT discrimination and hate crimes, but it was proposed in 150 years ago BEFORE slavery was outlawed :rolleyes2:o_O:confused::hmm:

What he ends up doing is making an OVERLAY of Gay rights and placed directly on top of the history of the Black struggle. I highlighted those seven words in their colors to show that none of this had to do with Civil Rights for our people, it's about the LGBTQIA+. THAT is the intent and purpose of his thread.

Let me guess - a “southern strategy” video

:roflmao3:

I bet your dumbass still thinks “Lincoln freed the slaves” when the confederacy wasn’t even part of the Union at the time and Lincoln had no authority over it.

Lincoln didn’t give a shit about the so-called slaves/prisoners of war.

Republicans and Democrats are the same. They all leech off of the so-called black man and woman but hate us because they know that they can never be us no matter how hard they try.

The only reason they are still around is because of coons like you that continue to race mix and sustain their life force.
I’m not wasting my time with you anymore you Russian plant cac troll. You’re a worthless piece of dumb shit. You’re a fucking idiot and not worth my time or the oxygen of the planet. Die bitch

Are you up for a debate on this issue? I’d argue that this is THE issue in the black community and A LOT of board members would be interested.

OK. Now we’re getting somewhere. So my ability to debunk a source is the sole criterion you use to determine whether a source is legit or not?

And just as you say there are other types of Moors, there are other types of Muslims as well. I’ll give you a hint though: go listen to some old jazz music.

I’m not really into jazz either, but it will lead you down the right path. Why did John Coltrane want to call his seminal album “Allah Supreme” rather than “A Love Supreme”? Who taught that Iblis was really a man, not a Jinn? And that Adam was not the first human being, but the first vice regent? Who taught Malcolm X how to pray in Arabic when he was in prison?

:eek2:
I'm shocked that you don't know your supreme mathematics

Freddy knows nothing about the 5%, which is interesting considering his age and being from NYC.

But I’m not 5% either. I’m just slowly trying to wake old Fred up. Elijah Muhammad said you have to be careful bringing the truth to the Black Man because he’s been lied to for so long.

lol you have no idea what truth is..

You dont even know where you at and who you are??

This is true but the problem is all the lies still being spread without discussion.

You brothers need to take it to another thread though because the low-level thinking of the majority in here will just cause more confusion.

I’ve tried having the discussion multiple times. Niggaz ran and keep running, including you.

I don’t go back and forth when the other person isn’t making points. There is truth, fact, and fiction. What I’ve stated is truth and fact and indisputable. You can talk about everything else with Freddy.

You think French Montana is indigenous to Morocco..
Your version of history is white washed...
So you are a Muslim..
How I know that tho??
Lol

Am I a Muslim? What defines a Muslim? By the standard definition, the NOI definitely isn’t Muslim. They commit shirk.

There is no back and forth. I have repeatedly asked you and freddy to lay out a simple outline of your historical beliefs as it pertains to black people in America. You either refuse to or cannot do so.

Duh

Slave laws are part of history..

Mr trying to debunk historical facts with

YouTube videos

Lol

Why don’t other slave laws make the same references. I live in VA, where the first American slave laws were written (the Black Codes). Why don’t they say anything about Berbers

Here’s some reading material for your tiebreaker @VAiz4hustlaz and @Mrfreddygoodbud -

And this is relevant to what exactly? It’s standard diplomacy. The leader of one nation making friendly overtures to another.

Sidi Mohammed (d. 1790) came to the throne of Morocco around 1757. One of the most enlightened of Morocco’s eighteenth-century rulers, he was concerned with expanding his country’s commerce with other nations. Less successful were his attempts to mitigate Morocco’s draconian system of justice. As early as the 1770s Sidi Mohammed had made friendly overtures to the United States although he was discouraged by the failure of the Continental Congress to respond. By 1786, however, he had signed a liberal treaty of friendship with the United States.

Just admit it..

You are a Muslim?

Is the Koran a holy book?

Yo, why not make a SOURCED thread for all this. Meaning, if any poster makes an argument, they must back it up with a source. Link to that source. Highlighted text from the source.

Anyone who doesn't participate by the guidelines can be banned from the thread. Time to take this to the academic level. Source the shit or it didn't happen. I know you always post sources, so won't be a problem for you.
