youre most likely right you Irredeemable mafugga.

Thx you incorruptible bastard! Also, I'm waiting for Adrian and Owl Man to reveal their plans. How could two of the most tactically sound minds of the group not foresee or have a contingency plan ready for the return of Manhattan? No way this series ends with one season.

 believe it or not, I was NOT expecting that.

Right. The Batman of this universe has got to be prepared for this scenario.

I Believe We Have Already Seen Doctor Manhattan In The Show And He Is....

Calvin. Angela's husband.
  1. He is quick to confirm Doctor Manhattan cannot change his appearance.
  2. There is a focus on Laurie talking/interacting with Cal..
  3. There is also the possibility of Calvin actually not having the memory of being Doctor Manhattan (due to overexposure to tachyons for example), which would explain why he asks Laurie if he has met her before.
  4. This line of dialogue puts Jon directly against Cal, it's almost too much on the nose. 'He's no Cal'
  5. In his letter to the fans Lindelof wrote that Doctor Manhattan is possibly scared and alone and sad that he might outlive everything and everyone he has ever loved. If this is truly what Lindelof believes then maybe Calvin is the result of Doctor Manhattan detaching his remaining humanity from himself thus creating live, something which Jon wanted to do at the end of the novel. If so then maybe that relates to the accident Angela is referring to during the last episode.

I was going over the In The Weeks Ahead trailer and noticed something within this frame. For such a perfect being Doctor Manhattan seemed to have quite long and uneven nails.
I immediately thought this might be an easy way to identify him. So I went over many of the scenes from the four episodes and the only person who seemingly had longer nails was Calvin, but unfortunately most of those shots were out of focus. So I perused the internet and confirmed that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II on many occasions had long nails.
But what I noticed while looking at those images was the skin pattern on his knuckles.
Personally, this little detail here has 100% sold me on the fact that Calvin appears as Doctor Manhattan in the show.

So do you think the Cal actor will play Dr. Manhattan? We've already seen him look like Jon, not sure how they could explain that (so I'm unsure how these pictures actually make sense).

Well the one who made the hand comparison btw the two would seem to suggest as much.

Yeah, it seems so... I guess it could make sense-- the more I think about it, what's really inexplicable is why Dr. Manhattan would have retained the Jon form (or consciousness) in the first place, but adopting a Cal-based form after his existence or essence was in that body would make as much sense from that point.

Why Reeves have to be gay though?

It was like an after thought.

Added nothing to the story.

They don’t even put graphical heterosexual scenes in shows anymore.
haven’t really payed attention but do they do that to shows that are not targeted to black people

I would normally agree with y’all but yeah, like blood said that was from the comic. What’s even more strange is that the homo was gonna use Reeves to promote and defend his agenda while making Reeves take a backseat with his. Reeves was SO into his belief and his mission as a black man - it overruled any of that silly Bi sexual shit he was dealing with from his wife or Cap Metropolis. Reeves stayed on his mission.

And yes - they do a bunch of gay shit in many shows now without second thought, its almost common place. They dont make it as obvious as it was in the beginning. The gay scene turned me off but in context - I get it. They had to show how tender he was with his wife but behind closed doors he was still rage fucking the white man. There was a bunch of subtext in that scene.

Like this show show but... Dr Manhattan is supposed to fall to a group of trailer park trash? Dudes driving around in pickup trucks full of lettuce and shit? The most veidt whose a genius and super rich could do against the guy was obscure his ability to see the future and subtly manipulate him to go away, he couldnt hurt him at all.

Nah, these dudes are trailer trash but they are well funded and as it seems quite tech savvy. Remember what they were doing with the lithium batteries earlier in the show. And keep in mind they have a tach emitter or two just built in that headquarters. I think they know a way to block out Manhattan’s powers and are aiming to fuck him up enough to drain or take his powers. I have NO idea how but its something that maybe Adrian came up with.

Yup. Agreed. You could hear him speak in Manhattan’s delivery and it sounds so proper and intelligent - it fits right in. What they did with this reveal was fucking masterful. Even some proud white, naysayers at my work were like what the fuck? We gotta see this shit now.

Yup. Totally agree. And I’m telling y’all, I cant get that damn Life on Mars song out of my head now. That slowed down version almost brought some emotions to me like damn. I looked at my wife - she looked at me and started crying. She like they didn’t kill my TV boyfriend, they made that black man a god!! That’s what I’m talking about baby!

She don’t even like comics so that says a lot.

It was implied that he was gay, there was absolutely no confirmation if this. I never saw any indictation of him being Black.

It was also implied that he was a German white man and also that he might've been a decoy.

The decision to turn Hooded Justice into a poofter who cheated on his Black wife with a white man was arbitrary, not comic book canon.

So do you think the Cal actor will play Dr. Manhattan? We've already seen him look like Jon, not sure how they could explain that (so I'm unsure how these pictures actually make sense).

I'm guessing Dr. Manhattan will look like Mr. Phillips, the male clone in Adrian's prison. It's hard to believe the clones have the faces of two random people.
