The truth is, you’re viewing your vote as a favor to give to someone. It’s not.
Your vote is the only chance you have to have a say in determining the people that make the rules you will be forced to follow. In such you are the only representative in the country for your personal self interest. You should look at the choices and choose the one best for you.
If you choose the give up your representation, you’re not hurting anyone more than you’re hurting yourselves.
Like people gloating that they hurt Hillary Clinton by not voting for her. She’s in Chappaqua, still rich, living her best life, going tv shows, giving talks, etc. And a lot of those same people are still living paycheck to paycheck, at risk of Trump tossing their healthcare out the window, with Trump gutting the FBI’s funding to investigate violent white nationalists, giving them the cover to menace, his administration taking away programs in place to help our black students have a fair shot or to be able to sue when discriminated against. And by giving the Republicans the ability to pack the courts, insuring our people will not get a fair shake in federal courts.
By the end of this year 25% of all federal judges will be Trump appointees. These are lifetime appointments, and Republicans made sure all of these guys are in their 30’s. So they’re going to be in these spots for the next 40-60 years.
Which means...let’s say that in the next 10 years a reparations bill is passed, these Trump judges can rule it unconstitutional and that’s a wrap.
And people like you, wanting to give Trump another 4 years to pack the courts and move the supreme court to 6-3 or even 7-2 conservative are the fucking problem.
Those judges can’t be undone. And when your kids grow up and wonder why they’re stuck with a racist judiciary, they can point to you niggas being to woke to just vote against Trump.
