Democrats do the exact same shit. You are delusional. And I think its funny how you and Woodchuck just casually admitting to voting for GOP candidates after demonizing Black America as covert Trump supporters all year.
All the ADOS on BGOL lurking this thread seeing so many folks be MIA or deflecting. Speaks volumes.
So this is how we're going to do it, huh? Take one sentence and separate it from an obviously anti-republican sentiment and try to make a case for hypocrisy? I can see nuance and grey areas don't register well with you.
Now, in all the other threads you've said I've been a dumb, blind sheep on the dem plantation, no matter how many times I've said I endeavor to be objective when it comes to such things. I've said before I've voted GOP. Not a whole ticket, but an individual here and there. Back when there were individuals who were worth voting into office. It's been well over 15 years though, and the last time I did it, I regretted it. AS I SAID IN THE POST YOU QUOTED, anyone worth a damn has left the party. Everyone left is a Trump enabler, either because they are a coward or because they're as compromised and as racist as he.
I explained to you the proper way to do a protest vote, which can involve voting for the other party and I've ALSO said since 2016 that TRUMP is too dangerous to have in office and to save the protest votes until he is gone. I've never cast votes for the sake of protest, but I recognize their strategic value when used properly. Normally I don't care who folks vote for, I consider it a private matter. BGOL thought Trump was a joke. I told y'all over and over again the GOP cheats, there was voter suppression fuckery afoot, and overconfident dems stay home. I was ignored.
Then we had the idiots running around saying they were happy because we had a racist in the WH so black folks could stop being complacent and get off the dem plantation. Y'all said black folks have survived more than Trump and would do so again. I'd like to amend that statement. SOME black folks survived more than Trump. We have mass graves of those who didn't survive. We have bodies at sea. We have bodies that hung from trees. Women raped and killed. EVERYONE didn't make it. Ones who did often suffered. Y'all keep talking about this shit like it's a walk in the park, black folks being terrorized. People who haven't suffered wanting to watch the world burn. Y'all are friggin nuts.
I've also supported vetting candidates to gain agreement for issues such as reparations, ending private prisons or whatever your interest happens to be. The time to do this is NOW, during the primary. Take guidance from the teaparty. Primary establishment dems with a reparations Candidate. Get the best candidate we can. You can't sulk tho if your candidate doesn't win and let progress roll back more. The only thing I don't agree with is tearing down our candidates, especially to the extent that there is such bad blood between supporters (Berniebros) that they sit out and let the GOP win. Once it comes down to a dem and a Republican, the GOP is too dangerous to let have a foothold for power. White racist folks understand this when it comes to voting. They are committed. Other than gay folks and people fighting for abortion rights, I don't see that same commitment with the dems. Healthcare brought it to some degree and the young folks now with guns and climate change, but that's it. Also many black issues have to be resolved at a local level.
CURRENTLY the GOP are not worth a damn. They put party above country. They are seeking to take away things I value such as health care. They are putting unqualified judges on the bench. They are rolling back environmental protections, consent decrees with local law enforcement, and a there's a whole host of reasons I've stated numerous times before. They aren't any good for white folks either, white folks just don't realize it.
So, I've gotten older and I've gotten wiser and have changed accordingly. AND the GOP party has changed. They can't be judged as individuals as long as they are enabling Trump and his criminal administration. If you get rid of Mitch McConnell and some of those folks who came in on the teaparty wave, there may be a chance compromise comes back. Until then the only ones trying to move things forward and make things better for the average American are running as dems or independent. Not all dems are worth a damn, but 9x/10 they will be better than the GOP.
I do have one correction to make. I did recently vote for a GOP candidate. For some reason I was thinking she was a dem, tho she did have better answers than the guy she was running against. It was my fault, I should have been more diligent. I still think black Republicans are off in the head.
Since it was this chick, you should be
happy. Plus, she won
