Black immigrants more specifically Black people in general actually are more conservative than liberal. ADOS being blindly loyal to Democrats for 50 years while they give tangibles to everyone else speaks to a bigger issue.

One thing for sure about black immigrants their descendants are going to be in for a world of hurt because racist cacs are not ever going to change. The future descendants of black immigrants will have to deal with the stupidity of their peoples current moves. They going to learn they are not 'special' black people because white immigrants will always be favored over them but they are too bamboozled to see it. R/WS is real. I honestly wish we as black people put faith in ourselves and not a political party. The Dems can't survive without us, but always push us to the back of the line when it comes to getting resources. The Repubs don't need us, however if they were to cull all the racist out of their party they would grow with black membership, however that is not going to happen ever. At the end of the day we need to leverage both and create our own PACS that support our agenda. Until we get serious about how money is used in politics we will continue to get pimped. I am not saying don't vote, however we must understand that a vote should be the end of the process after all the work is done by us and the people we back who will push our agenda. Unfortunately for us a vote is the first and last engagement we have in this process and that is why we lose.

On some real ish, at my Ivy, non American blacks were just as prejudiced as whites, asians, and indians. Years ago, in passing, I said "wassup, bro" to a Nigerian while on the way to class, this fool flipped, "I am not your brother. We are nothing alike." I was so in shock I couldnt even respond like I wanted to. Man, if I could have that moment back.
Another time, walking down the halls of one of our hospitals, I saw a new black doc that I knew was onboarding. I shook his hand and said, "it's always great to have another black doc on the team." He made it a point to say he doesnt like being referred to as black because it incorrectly associated him with black Americans.
My point, I can assure you that the black immigrants as well as all other immigrants do not give a damn about black Americans. They used our work and sweat to get over here. Use scholarships, grants, and other benefits to advance themselves and once the have achieved some level of success, they turn their noses up at us. This is real. Do not be naive in thinking the immigration and/ or people of color fight/ issues have anything to do with us.
