he doesn’t want that, barely had what it took against santos. I don’t see Jon leaving LHW. He can dominate that weight for the foreseeable future. And the prospect of adasanya coming up in weight for a super fight if he gets past Whitaker is there as well. Stipe is high risk low reward

I think Cormier Wrestling Stipe would have been a problem since Stipe has been sprawling and stopping most of the takedown attempts in the 1st and early 2nd round.
That's why he tried the standup (Grab gloves and sneak'em) plan.
Then did not respect Stipe's standup in the 2nd and 3rd round.
All of this was a plan that failed him.
Plus DC probably knew that this is it for him.
DC fought a good fight but he stopped mixing his wrestling and boxing up and started straight boxing and left himself open. He was hurting Stipe with the boxing when he was mixing it up, but he stopped and became one dimensional. That's the only way to beat Stipe you have to have both wrestling and boxing and no one in the heavyweight division has at a level like DC had. No one in the heavyweight division will beat Stipe.
Cause he made him look like an amatuer in round one. His wrestling would have been a low risk victory. This nigga wanna go punch to punch with a dude who can take francis punches.
On some real shit, i really think that might happen to Jones at some point since you bring that up.
