UFC 120: Bisping vs. Akiyama is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on October 16, 2010 at the O2 Arena in London, England.[1] The first ever UK UFC Fan Expo will coincide with this event.[2] This event will air on the same day, via tape delay, on Spike TV in the U.S.[3] The event will be the fourth the UFC has hosted at the O2 Arena in London, England and the first since UFC 95. It is also the ninth event held in England and the first since UFC 105.

Yes - people are joking a bit that Joe Silva sorta tossed this card together. Albeit ... Akiyama has had decent fights since last year. Good one against Alan Belcher at UFC 100, and a great battle with Chris Leben (with the late comeback from Leben) earlier this year. Plus they need someone like Bisping (and Hardy / McSweeney / Sass / others) on such an overseas card.

I'm looking forward to UFC 121 next weekend. Leaving on Tuesday or Wednesday with my bro.

i watched that akiyama/belcher fight. i thought that was belcher was outclassing akiyama (prior to poking him in the eye) and that belcher's defense was poor: so they both struck me as being B class fighters with a lot of heart.

enjoy the ride to california, and remember to steer clear of the grapevine (approx. 100 miles north of los angeles) if you are going to be driving the echo.

if you absolutely must drive through the grapevine, stay to the right on the ascent and TURN OFF your a/c if you are using it.

have fun in anaheim.

I don't know how I feel about this card. Should call it UFC 120: The Fighters We Hyped Too Soon...Bisping is decent but hasn't really improved much over time. Dan Hardy also seems like he won't improve to much and I thought that even before GSP.

horrible card.
outside of england, I doubt they sold any pay per views to the rest of Europe.

UFC is losing steam man.
weak pay per view after weak pay per view.

I really don't know what to say. Maybe it's because I'm not actually buying PPVs, but I tend to enjoy most of the shows. The Kongo fight was the only one that bored me.
