They were so desperate not to have Dwight they traded him. If he would have worked they would have had to pay the luxury tax, so suck it up for a year. Brooklyn waived his big ass. Mozgov wasn't even playable. You traded for two years of a empty roster spot.
That deal was a big reason that Brooklyn today was able to get room for two max contracts. They were able to clear Mozgov's bad contract.
and that 16 mil next year for Biyombo is a big reason Charlotte lost Kemba today. The only thing they did good was traded an unplayable player for someone younger who they can play 10-15 minutes.
