Honestly his Achilles probably would have torn anyway. He was out 5 weeks with a calf strain. I think he just happened to tear it unless he had an Achilles injury prior in which the doctors refute

I was thinking that this morning, his calf “strain”/Achilles injury was probably gonna require it to be cut and reattached to get it back healthy. they probably told him as long as he kept it iced, stretched and didn’t make “to many” quick moves it would hold up for THIS GAME. Kerr said he would play in spurts so they were gonna do just like they did in the first quarter, play him a few minutes and then ice and stretch it out the rest of the quarter. KD got caught up in the moment and tried to make to quick of a move and it went on and snapped
