"K.C. and the Sunshine Band"? :roflmao:

That being said, you left out Bootsy's Rubber Band, Pleasure, Brick, Graham Central Station, Lakeside, Prince, Fatback Band, and a host of others. Even though I'm a HUGE EW&F fan, I'm going with The Bomb. BTW, I've seen all of the bands in the OP in concert.

How did the OP forget Cameo??? Of all groups!! Insane!!! Anyway, the 70's will always go down as the decade bands put it all together!! Im still holding on to the dream that bands are going to make a big ass comeback one of these days!!

I can't even front... This is probably one of the toughest questions ever. The list is heavy bottomed for sure. I agree that Sly and The Family Stone should be there as well. I'm gonna go with the Ohio Players, but Parliament Funkadelic is right on their heels. School Boy Crush by AWB stays in rotation as does Livin' In The Life by the Isley Bros...

Great bands ALL of them.

My top 3

1. The Isley Brothers
2. Earth Wind and Fire
3. Parliament/Funkadelic

Gotta go with The Isley Brothers.
Their sound was so unique.
They put out dancing songs, cruising songs, and slow jams.
And Ron Isley voice is a one of a kind.

Isley Brothers all day, but my 2nd would be Ohio Players. This song had me sold since the day I heard it when going through my dad’s records.

Everyone thinks that it's Ron Isley on lead vocals on this song.
It's actually his brother O'Kelly.
He's standing between Ernie and Rudy
