Klay just lost out on $30M because of all-nba team snub

Man everybody on the Warriors job is easy on offense but what he does on defense is incredible. Besides Kawhi Leonard Nobody Does it Better. Why do fans act like defense doesn't matter. It absolutely does with his production on offense and when he does defensively he should always be all NBA

He didnt make all-defensive team this year...

Im not arguing for or against cause i dont watch THAT closely but...

The real question is still how do you weigh that against guys like Lillard and Kemba who have to carry their teams offensively every single game.

Who's the second person on the Hornets?

Is Klay the third or fourth best player on the Warriors?

And you're saying shit like the Hornets didn't make the playoffs?

Would Klay have taken the Hornets to the playoffs?

and did he make one of the teams last year?

What about the year before that?

Always thought he was the most underappreciated player in the league... a true two-way player who can lock down the best guards in the league and also light it up offensively.. he probably won't leave but I always thought he was the best candidate to bounce
He'll take the best guard of the other 2 and make his life a living hell. Steph get to rest up for offense. And they wonder why Klay has slumps. He bust his ass on D. That shit is exhausting.

I said in the NBA thread after the big bitch went down that Klay could gun for the finals MVP. With this shit, he got more fuel. Do you know how fucking different his legacy is after going to 5 finals without the big bitch? And no doubt in my mind they would have. He already might have a finals MVP, the same amount of rings, and 30 million more. :smh:

No way he ain't looking back pissed right now. He about to go off in the finals. God help who is trying to guard him.

So really he lost 30 mil because KD came to the Warriors to ring chase.

KD took his shine, his workload, demoted him to 3rd fiddle. And then also brought the drama and hatred from the media, who makes the picks, to the team.

All that, plus -30 million to guarantee a ring that they probably would've got anyway.

I'd be ticked, too.

If the Raptors make it, folks going to think it's the 80s again with Steph, Klay, and Drake all over the tv. People going to be talking big shit online.

Who the fuck are the voters? Serious question

The problem isn't the voters, it's how the ballots are constructed.

If they just chose the top 15 players instead of making it about positions, Klay would definitely get it.

I feel like the system was created during the era of the big man being the centerpiece of every franchise. Back then it made sense to break shit into positions because selecting the overall best 15 would have meant selecting all centers. So it made sense to shine light on other positions. But that system has no place in the modern NBA where a team can be built around any position. No way Kyrie, LeBron, or Kemba get selected over Klay if you're picking the top 15 players this year.

Bullshit

Lebron missed games

but how wouldn't Kyrie and Kemba make it over him?

They were the go to players on their fuckin teams.

Golden State had a mediocre season for them and Klay is the 3rd/4th best player on it.

and do you know about win share percentage?

Do some of you even remember Klay wasn't even playing good at the beginning of the season.

And the max isn't just based off one year. He didn't make all NBA the past two years either. You have three years to make it to qualify for the supermax.

Hell you can say he wasn't as important to his team as Bradley Beal, Donovan Mitchell and Oladipo.

So how the hell should he have made it.

Put Klay Thompson dolo on Utah, Charlotte or Indiana and see how they fuckin do.
