NBA 2018-2019 playoffs thread...finals is set..”Warriors vs Raptors 2-4” Raptors win the title!!!

Got’em to game 7, they would’ve beat the Blazers in game 8! :roflmao:

Give credit those dudes just hit shots
but when they needed their coach to stop the comeback. setup out of bounds plays. call sets to get good shots to calm everything down.
they got absolutely nothing
even a simple pick and roll with jokic vs canter who can't guard ANYONE may have turned the game differently but he'd rather let him setup wherever and triple threat the clock to death

Thanks for this. So tired of seeing people thinking Jokic is super star
Jokic is a superstar but bigs need great wing play. Denver does not have anyone on the wing who can create their on shot no matter what defense is called.

Put a guy like Paul George or Durant on the Denver team and they probably get the win

Isaiah Thomas was trying to tell Max Kellerman about basketball and Max had the nerve to argue using analytics.

Kobe was doing details and pointed out guys three feet from the basket kicking out for a three.

If you have Steph and Klay, you can do that shit.

If not, keep that high percentage mid-range going

San Antonio did it first. And the busted everyone’s ass doing it

When they needed buckets, Jamal Murray got them buckets in this series and the series against the Spurs. Not sure what happened in this game?

Youth? Inexperience?

Every great player has to go through the lows to get to the highs...

This was Denver's first playoff run...

Experience and few more tweaks to the roster they will be better...

You got to stop blaming coaches man. The Blazers simply had to great wing players who hit shots.

They got experience now and they might be on some win it for Paul inspirational shit right now.

I don't care. Anything to beat these muthafuckas.

Only thing that will beat them is the salary cap. I think next year they will be over the cap with just Steph, Klay, Draymond, and Iggy. Until then, it is what it is.

One problem I’ve noticed in th pass in games between the dubs and rio city are

- blazers love shooting those shots just like the dubs, only problem is the dubs normally had more shooters

- blazers depth really wasn’t there to battled continuously with the dubs

- coaching normally took over, cause when dame and cj wasn’t hit those shots, they got nothing

You’re probably right. If you put a former league MVP and Two-Time Finals MVP also one of the best scorers ever on that Nuggets team and they may have gotten that win.

I'll be shocked, if Jordi Fernandez doesnt become the Cavs coach sometime this week, since the Nuggetsis out of the playoffs now. They've been eyeing him for awhile now.

FOH the coaches get paid to do those things i described
You see what Terry Stots did?
He ran the pick and roll to get C.J. going down hill
took the ball out of dame's hands
and drew up the iso for C.J. to hit the dagger shot

so we gonna say 1 coach can affect the game but the other could not?
lol

Not really, because Pop isn't three happy

Analytics is literally pretty much only shoot threes and free throws

Timmy was a mid range king...and San Antonio still does it with LA and Derozan

Lillard was 3-17

Murray was 4-18

They both had bad games, it happens. Murray wasn’t even aggressive and that was an issue, neither was Harris.

Lmao, that’s what the coach pose to do, but he don’t want them to be criticized when they don’t....

CJ hit contested shot after contested shot and also defended at an elite level. This game came down to shot making and nothing on the coach.

The coach got a weak as Denver squad to the second seed and almost to the conference finals. Hollering coaching is ridiculous

Yes you can affect the game as a coach if you got players knocking down contested shot after contested shot. That will make any coach look good. If CJ and Dame miss those shots then people would say that the coach was not running offense

Dame is the fucking point guard how did C.J. get the plays called for him and how did the offense change to make sure that he got the ball in his hands?
did they randomly decide to run the timeout play for the dagger to cj or did it magically end up in his hands???

Blazers were not running any offense and CJ was just going one on one. He mad tough shots. If he misses them then everyone would say the coach was not calling plays

There is no such thing as a bandwagon fan. Either you like team or not. You been salty the entire playoffs. Take off the emotions and enjoy the great games.

You said yourself your bandwagon team are the warriors foh. Are you a heta fan or a warrior fan? Anyone that has multiple squads cannot be respected.

CJ like most players called his on play. He said he did during the post game. He said he went to his coach and said he is going to run the play and his coach trusted him to go one on one

I disagree. At this point in his career Melo brings nothing to a team like the Sixers. His lack of D would hurt the Sixers. Ennis may not be a lock down defender but unlike Melo he hustles on D. One of the biggest issues with last years team was the poor defense by Bellinelli and Illyasova(sp?). Ennis doesn't score, but the Sixers get what they need from JoJo, Butler, JJ and Harris. The biggest issue with the Sixers is Ben's motivation or lack thereof and Embiids health. If Ben plays like he did in game 6 then this team goes to the Finals.
ore like
I hear you but no one is expecting Melo to play the Lebron role. At this point he is more like Wade. You can’t say a guys. That averages 16 & 5 playing with the one man band James Harden can’t bring something our team. I hate the whole narrative that Melo is washed and we let Kyle Korver play for five years beyond usefulness

They had duncan and parker in the paint and surrounded them with 3 point shooters.

Granted the Rockets do it to ridiculous extremes
They killed the Heat with that three point shit that year.

But they always had Duncan and Parker. They did it when dudes were hitting shots. When not hitting shots they can dump it down to Duncan.

Houston tries to do that shit but if the three isn't falling plan b is CP3 mid-range .
