Ya'll missing the point. You either vote in strong numbers or weld strong economic clout. These are the only two options for change without the use violence.
Look at what I said, they don't vote but they make their concerns known. they don't ignore the process. They don't sit at home and complain about how the man ignores them. They don't say I'm going to sit things out until politicians decide to listen to me. Why would a politician listen to someone who doesn't vote or doesn't give any money to to their campaign?
The only time I would say voting wouldn't matter is if black folk had Jewish clout and used it. Look at the Superbowl thread. If Jewish people felt disrespected by the NFL, do you think there would have been a debate about boycotting? Would we be debating about who should and shouldn't perform at half time? That shit would have been properly addressed a long time ago.
A few years ago, the NFL made the mistake of scheduling some late afternoon/night games for the Jets and Giants during the Jewish holiday. After the Jewish community complained about needing to be home before dark, the NFL changed the games to early.
That's real power.
