This is easy to answer.
It was personal for them both.
Both West and Smiley HATED Obama.
These "Poverty Pimps" hated him because:
- He showed the world that he could be elected president without them.
- He showed the world that Black people COULD unite behind a single Black leader without them.
- He showed the world that he didn't have to kiss their rings (or their asses) to get support from the Black Community to be elected president.
So naturally; because of these things, they hated Barack with a passion and went after him with a vengeance.
And after Barack left office, (as you can see) they basically shut the fuck up, got right back down on their knees for the Democrats/Progressives and kissed Hillary's ass as usual.

When white people setup a front company, politician and organizations such as the NAACP, any attacks from us exposing their person will be dealt with. These schemes are becoming more common as the demographics of the population is changing however the power and wealth is undeniably white. In order to hide this which was not an issue when they were 90%, an illusion of equality will be used to maintain power and appear equal.
I feel Tavis and Trump are in the same boat, Trump accused Obama as being a criminal and Tavis belittled Obama as not doing enough for the black community. He supported the white candidate and derided the black candidate as being a puppet When these schemes are being deployed, any critic character will be attacked.

It wasn’t just about holding him accountable as the first black president the voice of reason they were trying to get back at Obama for whatever perceived slight they felt from him.
