the CDC stated about a year ago that STDs particularly HIV was on the rise again among that age group so you're right. My take on millenials now is this...advancements in technology and science and medicine has created an unrealistic view of the world for them. like for instance, in medicine, due to the advancements made in that field, a disease like HIV has now become something like herpes. the anti retrovirals on the market now are so potent and very efficacious and easy to take (1 tablet a day) so all the stigma that back in the day used to surround a disease like HIV is gone now. millenials didn't grow up in the era of the HIV/AIDs stigma and so they don't know just how bad of a disease HIV is or at least was thought of...so they are having unprotected sex with reckless abandon. if they had seen the images we had seen associated with the AIDs epidemic, they would have a whole different perspective on it.

I still remember middle school health class in the 90s and being shown what would happen to you if didn't wrap your shit up. Some of those example look like some shit you'd see on the walking dead nowadays. They were straight up using scare tactics to keep people from engagaing in unprotected sex.

If you was getting it in at age 12-15 chances are you might have ran into a slut or 2 or more...do you think their numbers was low at that age?.. In modern times everything is done more.. Remember when you knew teens that smoked or drink on the weekends? Well in modern times they do that s hit everyday... Seems like some of ya are more detached from this current generation.. yeah i have heard that whole narrative in the past as well. I am a pharmacist and based on what i have studied about this plague, even though i know that the US govt has done some foul shit in the medical fields, the HIV narrative that's out there is the one i am sticking to. We gonna have to agree to disagree on that whole piece about HIV isn't real or it's AIDs isn't real etc etc...but until i see some hard proof other than what conspiracy theorists have put out in regards to this epidemic, i am inclined to disagree with your position. you gotta ask yourself, if HIV wasn't progressing to AIDs and it was actually the anti retrovirals that was killing people, then what were the people coming in for to get treated being treated for in the first place? cos this is the scenario you're proposing: let's say you knew someone who died in 1988 from AIDs but you're saying, nah, they didn't die from AIDs, they died from the medicine that the doctor gave them. okay, fair enough. so what then did they go to the doctor in the first place for? cos what you're saying is, they were perfectly healthy and went to the doctor and the doctor then gave them some medicine that made them sick and die...i just don't see the rationale behind that reasoning.
because if that were the case, the HIV epidemic in Africa would have hit preposterous proportions by now. damn near everyone on the continent would have been dead by now...but you actually see the opposite. when Bush created that initiative to allow for india to manufacture anti retrovirals so that they would be more affordable in Africa, that shit saved countless lives on the continent. you can see it now. so nope, i don't buy it that the meds actually cause the disease itself...but of course you can always convince me otherwise if, you can show me the proof. that's all i ask. i keep an open mind.

Once that error was corrected people stopped dying from this hustle called aids. AZT is still prescribed and I am not exactly sure what you mean by prescribing AZT was an error. an error would be if you came in to see a doctor for migraines and he prescribed AZT for you...that would be a medical error...because AZT is not used to treat migraines. it is used to treat HIV and so that is what was prescribed. it was the first of its kind and with any new drugs there are bound to be side effects, some tolerable, others not. every 1st generation of a particular class of drugs will always have a side effect profile that needs time to be tweaked. that is why I said in my earlier post that the new HIV meds are so potent and so tolerable that people can now live with HIV without all the stigma attached to it.

I don't own a pharmaceutical company. if I did then yes. the point I am trying to make is, the evidence is right there in front of your face. if you claim that HIV is not real then please tell us or tell me what you think it is that was (for a time being) killing off Africans by the hundreds of thousands in the 90s but suddenly has been brought to a check by the introduction of retrovirals. the epidemic that swept thru the continent during the early 80s all the way thru the 90s, if that wasn't HIV then what was it? if u say to me, no brother, that was something else other than HIV, then I am willing to know what it was.
