Blumenthal read a passage from Graham's book which contained some pablum about his time as a lawyer and appreciation for how difficult it is for rape /abuse victims and the courage it must take for them to face their attackers and testify against them. but like I figured .. You just can't effectively cross exam a sexual assault "victim" like this.. Not without knowing the facts.
Yo. When you watch it, it's going to just make you shake your head. The cross-examination is worst than anything you can imagine. Put it like this, on rightwing sites like Breitbart, it was so bad that they're pissed that GOP for even allowing it to happen and they're saying the GOP cross-examiner was a deep state plant to sabotage trump's pick.
Listening to the GOP Senators after this hearing, they think it's over. They're convinced they won't have the votes at this point. Whether that's true or not is another thing, but they feel like it's over and they're pissed because they dont' have the time to push someone through before the midterms.
I read yesterday that they were subjecting Mitchell to the same 5 minute time allocated for the Senators that she was questioning on behalf of..
