its tricky

I agree it should be ONE thread

not one for EACH season

BUT the things is always spoilers.

I honestly think at this point?

We don;t need separate spoiler free threads

Just one discussion threads like for Walking Dead SHIELD The Americans etc.

Exactly... could you imagine if we had a separate season game of throne threads.

Plus some of the fun is seeing the point of views from other members on the eariler pages of a show thread. I still haven't watched Breaking bad... eventually it's going to happen and when it does I'll be bumping that thread like a mutherfucker.

Just ask a mod to combine them with the title "Marvel's Ironfist: Official Discussion Thread"

I did the same thing with Homeland. There were about 3 threads, with over 200 replies, spread out over 6 seasons people kept updating each season.

Like I've said in the Flash thread about spoilers. If you're not up to date on the most current episode stay your ass out the thread.

Fam...you gotta let me know when you start!

Claire Temple Will Not Be In Iron Fist Season 2
Iron-Fist-Rosario-Dawson-as-Claire-Temple.jpg

Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple will not appear in Iron Fist season 2. According to Marvel Television's Jeph Loeb, the character will next appear when she fits with the story - and she doesn't work with this one.

When Marvel launched their popular Netflix shows back in 2015, they swiftly decided to use Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple as the "Nick Fury" of their world. The character drifted from TV show to TV show, a secondary character whose ongoing story wove all the different narratives together. Claire entered the world of superhero vigilantes after a chance encounter with Daredevil, crossed paths with Jessica Jones, became Luke Cager's lover, and gained martial arts training from Danny Rand. But Claire's role seems to have changed after last year's Defenders series; now that the heroes have all encountered one another, there's less need for a character who serves as the connective tissue between them.

According to Marvel's Jeph Loeb, that means Claire won't appear in Iron Fist season 2. In an interview with CBR, Loeb revealed that Rosario Dawson won't reprise the role in this series, due out on September 7. "Claire won’t be in there," Loeb revealed, "but our relationship with Rosario is awesome and we love her, she loves us and — when the story lends itself into that place and hopefully she’s available — we go down that road."

Some viewers had theorized that Claire's mid-season disappearance from Luke Cage season 2, apparently involving a visit to Danny Rand, meant that she'd jump straight into Iron Fist. It seems that's not the case, which presumably also indicates that there's some sort of passage of time between Luke Cage season 2 and Iron Fist season 2. Hopefully that means the series will show Danny's reaction to Luke's new career as a crime lord; that should certainly be amusing.

As Loeb pointed out, a new character seems to be stepping up to take Rosario's crown as head of cameos; Simone Missick's Misty Knight. That makes rather more sense, as Misty is an increasingly important figure in the New York police force. As such, she's inevitably drawn into the latest gang wars, vigilante battles, and superhero scraps. Where Claire's cameos sometimes felt rather forced, Misty's role is thus a lot more organic.

Loeb stressed that his focus is always upon the story itself. "You know, some people would be really satisfied if Danny Rand got on a bus and Foggy Nelson was getting off the bus and that's cool," he pointed out. "[But] we always look at it from the point of view of 'What's the best story?'" While that means viewers will be seeing less of Claire Temple going forwards, it hopefully means that the appearances she does have will be quality ones, with concrete arcs and strong character development. "We don't run an Easter egg farm," Loeb quipped.

Rosario Dawson Unsure of Her Future With Marvel TV

Rosario Dawson appears uncertain of her role as Claire Temple in the Marvel TV universe on Netflix following the upcoming second season of Luke Cage. Following her roles in 2005's Sin City and its long-gestating 2014 sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Dawson stepped up her involvement in comic book-inspired projects in 2015, beginning with the first season of Marvel's Daredevil. Playing Claire, a nurse sympathetic to Matt Murdock/Dardevil's (Charlie Cox) cause, Dawson became the only actor to cross over into Marvel's other Netflix series Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and most recently, The Defenders, but did not take part in The Punisher.

Eventually becoming the love interest of Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Dawson, not surprisingly, is back for another turn as Claire in Luke Cage season 2, which begins streaming on Netflix June 22. Playing a pivotal part of the action in each of the series she's appeared in, Claire has become as important to the success of the shows as the title characters with special gifts who have been fighting the deadly crime element of New York City for the past three years.

And while fans have just under a month to find out what's in store for Claire in Luke CageSeason 2, it appears Dawson is already looking beyond the series and her future involvement with Marvel TV. According to ScreenGeek, Dawson said at MCM London Comic Con over the weekend that she is open to the possibility of reprising Claire for more, but at the same time her personal commitments as a parent seem to have her thinking otherwise. She said:

“I don’t know if I’ll be back after this, to be honest, but it’s been an amazing few years. I’ve been on a lot of different shows. I mean, I don’t know if maybe they do a third season of Luke Cage potentially, or maybe if they figure out some kind of way for me to be on The Punisher – just so I can feel like I’ve done every show. But it’s been like, my daughter is in high school, so I kinda wanna not be 3,000 miles away for work.”

It's completely understandable for Dawson to want to move on from Marvel TV should she decide to do so, considering the commute from Los Angeles to New York is a long one for someone whose family is rooted on the West Coast. Should she decide to do so, or if any of the Marvel TV series make the decision for her, there's no question Dawson's presence will be missed. Having dozens of credits in film, Dawson, apart from Sigourney Weaver in The Defenders, was arguably one of the most notable acting veterans to appear in Netflix's Marvel ventures, so the presence she brought as Claire will be definitely be missed.

Barring an unforeseen demise of her character in Luke Cage Season 2 (and the way Dawson is talking, that doesn't seem to be the case), it would only make sense that Dawson come back to Daredevil for season 3, since that's where Claire was introduced. Fans will only know for sure when Daredevil returns later this year, and hopefully in the interim, Netflix can find a way to work Claire into the storyline for The Punisher season 2. So while it appears that Dawson is ready to say goodbye to Marvel TV, fans shouldn't fret her exit just yet.

Yes, it looks better than season one but then it would be hard not to.

If it's only going to be Davos taking the fist and him trying to get it back that's a very thin plot line.

We also have to see the extended fight scenes. He looked a little better in LC2 but still he's just awkward. He's just one of those guys that looks geeky doing anything athletic. Which makes me wonder why they cast him knowing he'd have to perform all the martial arts moves.

The Netflix shows are 13 episodes - this looks like we are seeing scenes from 3 0r 4 at best. The question will be can they overcome the drag - episodes where they are just stretching shit for no other reason but they have to fill time.

I'm liking the use of the trademark mask

I do too, but I hope they use it sparingly, like Luke Cage's original look in the first season. Use it in flashbacks, but leave it to that. It would look a bit cheesy for a grounded show like this to have him running around in NY in that mask and spandex chest out suit.
