It needs to be held in Rio more often it seems like that's were they attract the most people to attend.

So I just got back from a bar and explained to CACs why USA Soccer won't be shit until most of the players are Black
hit them with so many facts that they had to concede
A nigga had beer, liquor AND wine and im still good
I love having these conversations with CAC's. They can't stand the fact that even with the system tilted in their favor, they can't compete without the black and brown of this country.

Right now they're on Pulisic's nuts, and I'll let em have some fun with it til it's mentioned that he was raised in the German youth system.

Shit's hilarious watching em shake.

@DJCandle

who did it better?

Damn bro, that's splitting hairs ...

I'm gonna give this one to Persisic EVERSO SLIGHTLY... only because Argentina's defense are worthless, and Persisic had to get past Kante to pull off that shot.

Mbappe had to beat 3-4 plus the keep but again, it's Argentina.

Both great goals tho.

Black players alone won't be the savior of American soccer. Great black/white/latino soccer players will. We need to develop any and everyone who shows even a semblance of world class ability. This goes for coaches as well. Too many of the youth coaches are doing nothing for the development of talent. They essentially are the main beneficiaries of the pay for play system. Their salaries depend on it.

I think the following will bring the USA closer to being a competitive team on the world stage

Scouting and developing kids with soccer specific ability REGARDLESS of physical attributes (too short, skinny, fat, slow, too young, low strength, etc.) If they can play the sport better than everyone, they get picked up.
No more pay to play. Get with the shoe companies to sponsor teams and leagues throughout the country. If you can show up, you play/participate.

Send kids with potential to Europe. I know it's against everything american to send our best away, but it's the only way we'll get better. 10-12 yr old who show ability, send them to England, Germany, Spain, France, Japan, wherever. Don't wait til their 16-17. Start them young.

The US soccer federation needs to implement an attacking style of soccer from the USMNT to the youth levels. No more playing for set pieces, strong defense, and out hustle the opposition (Strong defense/play for field goals style for all the NFL fans). Instill the kids to attack the goal, touch pass and go.

MLS changes to a relegation/promotion system with the USL and NASL.

If anyone has added and/or different suggestions, I'm all ears. But the current system ain't gonna cut it.

There's nothing here to disagree with...

... except that the pyramid will NOT change anytime soon.

Pay to play is here to stay and pro/rel is something that will never be in this country. Not anytime soon anyway.

There's a very very real and credible fear from US soccer, that they will not be able to market second division teams to the masses the way they want to. They struggle to do that with MLS, imagine them trying to market a match where are the champions LAFC for example, are to take on second division Minnesota United in a 4,900 seat stadium...

That's a financial loss, strictly from a numbers standpoint, and Garber and the cronies that run this bitch here aren't for it.

The only thing we can do is what you alluded to, and continually send away our best and brightest and have them train with the elite of the world on a day to day basis. That's key for now.

Meanwhile, we can hone our own here and create great supplemental players to help backup the national team.

so no African nation has ever won or been in a final...? :dunno: ..u know how these cac`s do ...were they allowed to compete from the beginning...(1930)..?

As of 2018, only nations from Europe and South America have competed in a World Cup final.

In all honesty that is where the better ballers are located. Also some players rather play for their birth country as oppose their parents birthplace. Migration help shift the whole dynmaics.

Yup. I wouldn't be surprised if many of those Arab and African players, felt more French than Arab and African.

That tends to happen a lot based on where you were born and grew up.

Academy is the answer to American football woes. Since only retirees from Europe run to the MLS, USA have a chance of developing their homegrown talents. The reality is less than a handful will make it in Europe. Americans have to take the game more seriously to compete with the world.

I am not a fan of MLS but the other day after some of these world cup games I've been watching some MLS ball and I must say I was impress. Actually I would watch MLS over the french league.

American academies are ok for now but I've noticed a lot of the talented youth tend to leave to Mexico or Europe. There's a hesitation to play these young kids for fear of failure which US soccer needs to get over quick. Age and size mean very little in this game, and as we all know, if you've got it, you've got it but these guys here need to learn that concept quick.

Shit the goal he had today tho....

Pure power and deadly accuracy.

That goal was crazy.
If you watch, Vida sticks out his right leg attempting to block it. Mbappe sneaks it behind him after he lifts his leg. Vida knew it was a goal as soon he look behind him.

I was curious about if the players were actually born in France so I looked it up and the majority of the players were. Only 2 or 3 were born in Africa and one from Guadeloupe. I'm guessing all their parents immigrated to France.

It seemed like every country featured black players except Iran, Russia, Poland, Japan, South Korea, Serbia, Croatia and Mexico. If I remember correctly.
