I also thought that it was a beautiful scene and what made it work is because you know the history of Claire and her violent upbringing..

But Claire never got that closure...

That’s why she wanted Luke to hopefully reconnect with his pops so he could push down the hate..

Also I actually don’t blame her for leaving after Luke explodes and punches through a wall. I’d fucking leave too.

Side note... westworld season finale is on in 30 mutherfucking minutes!!!!
 
Just got finished with the season, definitely getting better and deeper with the writing.

Felt that scene with Claire and why she had to bounce. Them inner anger demons is real and past abuse she grew up in coming out.

The brotha BushMaster was solid, his Capoeira was getting Luke ass all discombobulated lmao, and after seeing his motivation I fully was like "fuck em, let get the whole bloodline". Plus that boy never let em get away with calling that evil bitch Dillard :lol:, "STOKES MARIAH STOKES"

She not washing the dirt of that name off fucking with him :giggle:

Luke needs some better fight training, even if it's just some power house style or boxing, cause when you overcome his invulnerability you can kick his ass ala BushMaster style who trained better. Hate that superman cant really fight skilled shit.

Shades wasn’t gay. He got caught in that prison shit but dude wasn’t gay. I think the issue really was that he loved dude as a brother and he betrayed him.

Oh no doubt, Shades shut it down as inside survival shit. I'm touching more on damn producers or whoever who try to insert that gay shit in every damn show, especially black shows, so I was glad they didnt do it. Damn scene had me nervous they was bout too.

fellas.....way too much parsing of faggotry here. :smh: Shades was gay, sorry. Aint no part time gay shit fam. Plenty of cats survive bids without taking dick, or at least taking it by choice. As far as it being in the show...I cringed a bit too but at least it had some relevance in the story line, rather than some gratuitous gayness like most shows do.

Fam... I’ve been a criminal defense attorney for 10 years. It’s way more gay shit than kats let on. Especially when it depends on the length of the bid and location.. like maximum versus local or county jails. Basically it’s comes down to isolation, contact, race, size, and location. Prisons .. especially maximum level are gangsta about visitation.

But I do agree that there are lots of dudes that go through prison and serve serious time without engaging in anything with another man.. buts that a topic for another thread.

As for Shades... I’m not going to say that dude was gay because of what happened in prison.
