lol. I am born and raised in NYC, homie. If you want to get technical, in NYC, Jamaicans were the ones originally known for extensive machete use. Then, when the Cubans came up from Miami during the Coke Wars, they started using them a lot too.
I'm well aware the Dominicans use machetes, you walk around Inwood or Fordham and every damn bodega with 'fresh' fruits has a guy out there with one working on the fruits. However, MS-13 uses machetes as a calling card.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the deadly stabbing of a 15-year-old boy last week outside a busy Bronx bodega, police said.
