I think it's a more logical assumption to assume that at least a fraction of them are like minded as opposed to believing that 100% aren't.

Is it not more logical that say the kids go back to their families which is good. We don't need Mexicans to get legislation passed. Every other minority group is getting legislation passed, why not us? We got legislation passed previously without them, why do we need them now? The Democrats have us believing in these falsehoods and we go with it because they are friendly racists and Republicans aren't.

We get legislation passed when we have unilateral issues that we collectively put resources together to pass AND lobby to get it done.
