This has a large part of it to go along with the All Defensive Teams, being a better closer, dominating an era of more physical play, leaving/returning to dominate, consistency, scoring 50 at 40, etc... and he did it in a much shorter time period while playing on the same the team and only 1 other all star his whole career. He only played with an all star at Chicago 6 of those 12 seasons, Pippen was not an all star every season, Rodman was not an all star as a Bull (old).
It is not fair to compare Jordan to Lebron, because they are completely 2 different types of players. MJ was a more aggressive scorer and defender, Lebron is more of a facilitator and freak athlete, size wise. Jordan was a smaller player, in a more physical, big man dominated league, so he had to bring more to the table in his offensive arsenal in order to dominate. Lebron is in a league with taller and better athletes, less physical contact allowed, and more perimeter oriented big men, so athleticism is much more crucial these days.
Jordan is on another level skill wise, you can easily see that in the complexity of his moves and offensive arsenal. He was more of an entertainer, flashy, more acrobatic, not "just" playing basketball. Jordan was scoring with the left and right hand, making people slip and fall, shaking cats draws off, bob and weaving through traffic, changing direction mid air, one hand ball fakes, finger rolls, dunking in traffic, and ones, fade away jumpers, baseline moves, pull up shots from all over, double pumps and reverses mid air, quick ups and hangtime, etc... He dominated scoring for a whole decade, and was on the All Defensive Team for 9 times. He was a above average passer and decent rebounder, and probably the best post player under 6'7 ever. That shit just can't be outdone, he did it all in only 12 seasons with the Bulls. He is nominated the GOAT by the vast majority of current and former players, teammates, coaches, owners, and media. His killer instinct in unmatched.
Lebron is like the "Bo Jackson" of basketball, athleticism wise. He probably has the best size, speed, jumping ability, and strength combination of any player all time. Bird was a better rebounder, clutch and pure outside shooter, and as good a passer, but Lebron's athleticism, better defense, point guard skills, attacking ability, and versatility makes him the greatest small forward of all time, and best overall player of this era. He has a high basketball IQ for for a player who has not really been coached up. Most of his scoring arsenal is from speed, power, mid range game, 3's off the dribble, and hustle. He is a blue collar player, not really an acrobatic player or flashy player, focuses on production and efficiency. He is a good all around player, and a top notch team leader. He plays the game by the book, and 95 percent of the time, makes the right plays and decisions at the right time. His conditioning is second to none. At his current pace, he will be top 5 all time in most or all statistical categories if he plays at least 20 seasons, which would probably make him the most productive player of all time, longevity/stat wise.
