You damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's exhausting both mentally and physically playing GS. So you up 11 on them, miss a layup and have a bad possession, they knock down two 3s in 15 seconds and it's a 5 point game. You try to grind for a nice play, miss the shot and they hit another 3 on the break and it's a 2 point game in under a fucking minute.

So while some fundamentals are being lost such as the pick and roll other fundamentals are being perfected such as hard hedging double hedging pin down screens. Zipper screens , the James Harden step back travel.

So really not losing many just exchanging the fumdamentals.

For the eight years Lebron has gone to the finals the west has gotten at least 10 out of the 15 players on the ALL NBA team.

So the east is only putting three to four players on the teams not including Lebron. That's the disparity in talent.

That's why you have to add context to the finals accomplishment. The east has sucked since Boston and Detroit went down. What team in the east would have challenged San Antonio, Dallas or Golden State beside Miami or Cleveland. You can say Toronto wouldn't beat the fourth best team in the west in a seven game series. This is the best the east has been, because you see that Boston, Philly, Milwaukee and Indiana are young and have a future if they stay on course.
