0fficial 2017-2018 NBA Postseason Thread....NBA Finals Cavs vs Warriors 0-4(dubs back 2 back champs)

Word? Lmaoo

Shit I didn't watch most of the game(missed the 1st half) but seem like it was pretty even...thought that was a flagrant on Morris for pulling Lebron by the shoulders but other than that is was clean...
Celtics should attacked more they could've had the Cavs in trouble but they love that 3 point shot....

Too much settling and they wasnt even shooting well...They didnt deserve to win the way they played..

if the Warriors win game 7, they're going to win back to back titles. Personally, it's probably gotta be mad annoying for Lebron to lose so many finals... but I don't think it hurts his legacy because you don't look at this team and see a championship team. He's gonna have a complicated legacy because of all the Finals' losses. However, outside of those Heat team, his team were never favored to win. I don't think the final's losses negatively reflect on him.

Nope it won’t hurt his legacy it just shows he went up against better teams... no shame in that.. His individual numbers are in stone

Yea that's down the road talk, but 3 times you think of them teams and be like wow

His first Cavs finals appearance
The second Cavs appearance
This Cavs the 4th Cavs appearance

Maybe even that first Heat appearance they wasnt favorites....(don't remember tho)

I hate the MJ/James debate. Their games are totally different and their roles on their teams are different. Kobe/Jordan is a more logical debate since they pretty much had the exact same game.

I honestly think they share the throne of GOAT. Finals record doesn’t mean shit and anyone who brings that up in a debate is a fucking idiot. Jordan did not win those 6 championships by himself and James didn’t win the 3 by himself.

But...can you fucking imagine this lineup...

Ron Harper (g)
Pippen (g)
James (F)
Rodman (F)
Any bulls scrub center (C)

Basically if you gave James the squad that Jordan had, he would also be undefeated in the finals.

His legacy is set; He is on Mt Rushmore of basketball; People will debate were he ranks, I wont...

Oh man I’m not going to the gym in the morning, I gotta watch Ole Sha Sharpe....lol

Mike was a great player and scorer he has
Right here.

No matter what LJ does or will not do, I got him behind MJ.

10 rings or 100 a game.
Jordan is a great player and probably the best scorer I've watched . However MJ is similar to KD and Kobe often had the chance to play along another top 5 player in the league. Best off ball defender and coach. Lebron is all of that in one.
I often say MJ stats proves he is the greatest but if you watch old films of him in the 90s playoff games Marv Albert was calling him the greatest player of all time after 3 championships. It was repeated so much that it became indisputable. It was marketing genius on the part of NIKE, Gatorade, McDonald's etc. Much like Muhammad Ali is the greatest boxer of all time and Biggie Smalls greatest rapper and Michael Jackson is the greatest entertainer. How are considered the GOAT when you quit on your team two times because you "lost interest" You obviously dont have the respect of the game and those players you have played with in the league. I maybe the one person in this world over 35 that mot really a Jordan fan. I appreciate his game, competitive drive, his win at all cost, but there is something that always turned me off about Jordan.

Just proves the biasness LeBron faces

It's not really a bias against Lebron as much as how people place too much weight on the Finals record. If it better to be 3-0 or 3-7? America has this "the runner up is the 1st loser" mentality but getting there should count. It's not like Lebron is choking and that's why he's coming up short. Besides the finals against Dallas, you can't point to Lebron being the reason for his teams coming up short. I think people don't appreciate how great he is so simply taking these teams to the Finals consistently.

Thats a huge ass if.

With CP3 out, they should win it. if they lose, all of them need to be flamed for years

His legacy is set; He is on Mt Rushmore of basketball; People will debate were he ranks, I wont...

After he led all players in every major statistical category and beat a 72 win team in the finals, I've said that he never needed to play another game and his legacy was set. I used to think that was one of the greatest finals performances. I said that immediately. I now think that was easily the greatest finals performance of all time.

They were clear favorites against the Mavs (i think that was more of a trying to play with Wade as an equal as opposed to taking the alpha role. Wade told Lebron the team was his after that loss and then things were fine). Lebron nutted up but he came right back next year so I don't really hold it against him. No one holds the Tragic Magic shit against Magic... and this nigga has been to so many finals at this point that even one bad series is only like 10 percent. Honestly, I can't even keep count at this point because he's been in so many finals.. but when you look at the losses, it was clearly nothing else he could have done. He was just playing greater teams.. now you got these super friends ass niggas in Warriors.... i hope Houston pulls it out so we'll get a more evenly matched series. But his is pretty much the same team as last year MINUS Kyrie.. that's sick in itself. He took this squad back to the finals after losing a superstar and getting no one else in return.

Was there any doubt he was going to lead his team in rebounds tonight with Love out?

I dont think that was the greatest finals performance of all time, but its up there. A lot of factors occurred for that series to go the way it did. But I give him credit, hes a monster on the court..TOP 5 DEAD OR ALIVE!!!

I don't think so. Those teams were predicated on running the triple post. It worked because you had Jordan. Pippen, Harper, Rodman, and James are a team of niggas that can't really shoot. You would just pack the paint and let them shoot jumpers. Those teams worked because you had a guard who was the best post player in the game. If you take Jordan off that squad, you need to replace him with another really great post player. You could put Hakeem on the team and possibly make it work but those squads also worked because of their perimeter defense... it was the 1-2 punch of Jordan and Pippen on the perimeter that made everything go. Lebron is a different type of defender.

It's up for debate. To me though... retrospectively... beating a reigning champion and 72 win team while leading all players in assists, points, rebounds, steals, and blocks... while also making the definitive plays to win the big games seals it for me.

I agree with everything you said, except this....NO SIR:smh:

Its funny...

I remember how much hate the buffalo Bills got back in the day fir the super bowl runs ..

And now?

The considered not only all time great but under appreciated

cause look at how many teams still haven't even REACHED the super bowl let alone won?

Lol how all of a sudden Ovi and the Caps getting love?

It's really damn sad excellence perserverance hard word and consistency is so ignored by this generation.

I feel ya, I do; but thats were we disagree; Kyrie made definitive plays in that series to me; and even in all that LBJ accomplished, they still barely won...it was a great series for him, but I would rank others as better all time; just me though....

I agree with everything you said, except this....NO SIR:smh:

You KNOW THE WORST part about this tired debate?

So many max contract so called stars doing jack shit get to hide.

We should ROASTING

lowry, beal, wall, westbrook, melo, playoff p, Lillard etc all the other SUPERSTARS, right?

Why they ain't getting served daily?

LeBron shouldn't even be spoken of.

Hell I'm still looking at KD.

They so mad that Bron MIGHT MAYBE ONE DAY POSSIBLY touch MJ...

They crowning all these other dudes over LBJ.

I don't know if I'm ready to call Lebron the clear GOAT... but there is no GOAT conversation without Lebron at this point. Im willing to accept any argument where Lebron, Jordan, Magic, or Kareem is your goat. I'm biased against 60s basketball so I don't consider those cats. That era hardly resembles this current sport.

I'll say this... If I had to start my franchise and I had the first pick, I'm taking Lebron, easily. If your PG goes down, you can plug Lebron in. Same thing at 4 other positions. It gives you endless flexibility. When Love got the concussion, you already knew Lebron was going to pull 15 boards. Whatever you need him to do, he can do that shit.

they still barely won because the Warriors were a 72 win team man... Cavs weren't supposed to win that series. Kyrie showed up but no team wins without multiple players showing up. Kyrie balled the fuck out but Lebron was fucking amazing. Kyrie just giving you points and nothing else.
