The MCU film beats Fate of the Furious.
BY ALEX GILYADOV Avengers: Infinity War has shattered box office presale records in China.
THR reports the third Avengers movie has garnered $47.5 million in presales as of late Wednesday night in Beijing. It's now eclipsed Monster Hunt 2, which earned about $47 million in presales back in January.
The Fate of the Furious, which released in 2017, was Hollywood's previous record holder in China with an estimated $25 million in presales.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is China's biggest-earning superhero movie, having made $240 million in 2015, a total analysts believe Infinity War can reach as well. It opens in theaters on May 11 in China.
Avengers: Infinity War has earned $1.16 billion globally, becoming the fifth highest-grossing superhero movie of all time worldwide. The film also had the biggest opening weekend ever domestically, making $250 million.

I hate to bring this up AGAIN. But the overseas numbers for BP are sorely lacking. Every single movie on that list the foreign numbers surpass the domestic.
Some of them exponentially. Two and almost three times the domestic sales. Which makes sense because we're talking multi-continental shit.
So why not the case for BP?? I'm sure the experts will now tell me why

While Disney, which owns Marvel Studios, declined to confirm the numbers, it said in a statement that “early indications are very strong as we look to have one of the biggest opening days of all time.”
Imax Corp. said it had its highest advanced ticket sales ever in China – “by far” – for the film, which opened there Friday.

Shawn Robbins, chief analyst at Box Office Pro, also believes the film has a shot at US$200 million or more.

At the end of the day, it still grossed over 600 million internationally, which is nothing to shuck and jive at.
My point in that last post was that MAYBE it had not been released in some places yet. Most specifically referring to the lest than affluent nations in Asia and Africa
Those places where they might not even have up to date other things (like automobiles) and their movies houses might still use old fashioned projectors
But I was assured by a few experts that it's definitely been released all over the world so I laid the subject to rest. Numbers might contradict though
