Black Panther DVD/Blu-ray Deleted Scenes
These are the Black Panther deleted scenes we can expect...

  • U.N. Meet and Greet
  • Okoye And W’Kabi Discuss the Future of Wakanda
  • T’Challa Remembers His Father
  • Voices from the Past
The film's editor, Michael Shawver revealed some of the deleted scenes, both of which will be included on the Black Panther DVD and Blu-ray release.

“Hands down the most painful scene to cut was [one] with Danai Gurira [General Okoye] and Daniel Kaluuya [W’Kabi],” Shawver told The Wrap. "“Toward the end, after things go bad and Killmonger [Michael B. Jordan] is in control and all that, we’re talking about, what are they going to do? What is Wakanda going to become? Those are two powerhouse actors and it was an incredible scene with so many layers to it."

He also detailed a scene between T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and Zuri (Forrest Whittaker) that better illustrated their "father-son relationship."

Don’t buy the digital HD. You’re getting robbed. Buy the blu-ray or 4K home media.
Are people really buying the generic “DVD” out chea?

I don’t think Black Panther is worthy of a 4K purchase though. I can’t think of any scenes that made me say, “Wow!”

Yes, plenty of people still buy generic DVDs. A lot of older folks refuse to upgrade and they are still some of the biggest buyers. Home media purchasing isn't as dead as people think it is.

4k UltraHD also includes the blu-ray and digital HD. Paying for a digital HD alone is straight up robbery.

i cant even find this shit on amazon to preorder it?
all i see is the stream and who wants that shit

Yes, and I use to be one of the biggest downloaders.

I hear you, I support at the box of office, but these days my personal collections is in a file folder in “my documents”. Can’t be finding shelf space for DVD’s I’d hardly ever pop in, when I can just set my Plex media to stream right from my hard drive. :dunno:

Understandable. Collecting does take up space, but I got space to give, so not a big deal to me, personally. I just know that blu-rays/DVD and so forth contains extras that I'm interested in such as trailers, interviews and so forth.

Plus blu-ray on disc are anywhere from 20 gigs to 40 gigs large, so they are lossless with no compression artifacts. Most (if any) streaming service are not sending 20 gigs worth of data through their streaming service. But those little details of having the best available quality matters to me.

I also, back up my physical media, so I have a drive I use to stream all this stuff as well. Collecting is also an investment. Some of these DVD got out-of-print and become very expensive.

Here is an example
Amazon product ASIN B0000W5J4Ahttp://a.co/dgdjbE5

I got this DVD brand new sitting on the shelf, so resale value will be nice unless they upgrade this to blu-ray and considering COsby's verdict. Not sure if it will get a blu-ray release.

Bruh that collection will be worth millions one day.

Man, I hope so.

I have so much more to go, but I have a lot of heavy hitters already secured.

I have all the blaxploitation films that were released on blu-ray. Roughly about 80 to 100.

I have Broadway plays, Race films from the 20s, 30s and 40s. Hood films and general stuff from the 60s and 70s. And I am still collecting.

I even hunt international, so I have several African films and films that are black themed out of Europe.

Currently I am trying to may contacts with places that American does not do much trading with that is Afro-centered, like Brazil, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Jamaica.

Man I had this convo with a brother a few months back about the coming dark ages of black media. Most of the important black media isn't being converted to digital form and the stuff that is converted is sold at ridiculous prices. "Raisin in the Sun" is only available via Youtube and even then you have to pay $4 to watch it in HD. Netflix is about $11 and you can watch whatever you want for a whole month. These folk ain't stupid.

Exactly!

I have hundred of examples on the importance that Black films get converted and preserved. TCM is notorious for converting old Black films to better quality, but they hardly ever release them on DVD or blu-ray. These type of places are getting the reels of the older films and converting them to higher quality and streaming them, but not releasing to physical media. What that does is MAINLY popular films gets the conversion treatment. Some of the obscure black films are left in an abyss and that is an injustice. A Raisin in the Sun DVD is expensive on DVD, but it's likely to get a blu-ray release soon.

Ebay and Amazon are my main spots.

Don't sleep on Amazon.co.uk (England), Amazon.de (Germany), Amazon.it (Italy), Amazon.es (Spain), Amazon.fr (France) and Amazon.ca (Canada).

I have found some gems there.

Im wondering do you have any concerts? If so I have been looking for a Shelia E RomaNCE 1600 live. Its an old ass concert from 1984/85. Been looking for the shit via download or physical copy.

I do have a few concerts and documentaries, but I do not have the Shelia E concert.

Some quick research has reviled that this has been released on VHS only and for a brand new copy you may have to fork out some dollars.

The full concert seems to be on Vimeo

You can use download helper to get it.

Thanks. Last time I saw this was 5 or 6. My moms had this on the betamax. Played this and the prince concert back to back. Shelia E. and the prince dancer that went by Kat. Started my infatuation with high yellas.

I don't own a single BluRay. I do have a 4K TV and 4K BluRay player (Xbox One S) but I am considering the 4K version of this.

Haven't bought a physical film/disc since joining BGOL 12 years ago, outside of kids dvds for those long rides in the car.

Loved this film.

If it doesn’t have The 4 hour cut

I don’t want it

Foh wit special features

No. You need a Xbox one S or X or a stand alone player. The PS4 can play back games and streaming content in 4k but not 4k blu-rays.
Good shit

I almost went the other way and get a ps4 pro and then a basic Xbox

Caugh A deal for Xbox one x for 359 and got a ps4 for 259
