0fficial 2017-2018 NBA Postseason Thread....NBA Finals Cavs vs Warriors 0-4(dubs back 2 back champs)

Yep, you see it in every playoffs with Russ. When he plays against a good team, he always tries to do too much and let his emotions get the best of him.
Basically he is not a good teammate. He does too much, is about self, and gets mad at the media and anyone who questions him about his fuck ups...

Pelicans considering a short-term offer to DeMarcus Cousins: report

After the New Orleans Pelicans' recent postseason success, there have been many questions swirling about All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins and where he fits in the team's future plans.

Cousins will be entering free agency this summer after rupturing his left Achilles' tendon in January, leaving questions about what his options will be on the open market.

New Orleans could offer him a deal worth up to five years and an estimated $175 million, but there are doubts about if he'll be able to get that type of contract coming off such a catastrophic injury.

ESPN reported on Tuesday (April 24) that New Orleans has "broached internally the idea of offering Cousins a two- or three-year deal at less than the max."

It's an idea that could backfire if another team swoops in to offer the big man a lucrative deal, but getting out of the first round with a sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers certainly provides the Pelicans with leverage going into negotiations.

Before his injury, Cousins was having the best season of his career as he found his way playing alongside Pelicans star Anthony Davis. He averaged 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 48 games.

Cousins recently did an interview with Fox Sports New Orleans about his rehab.

"Rehab is going great for me," he said. "I'm improving each and every day. I'm improving at a pretty rapid pace as well. That keeps my energy high. That keeps my positive vibes going knowing that I'm improving at a rapid pace. It's a process but I'm looking forward to improving every day."

Are we finally going to give the Jazz some credit?
I've always said their good.

Respectfully, I've said this before and niggas don't seem to take note of it.

The Pelicans play in a football oriented market, it's also a small market, it's also a market with a collectively low basketball IQ. Most women in New Orleans know the difference between a draw play and a play action pass, ask them what a pick and roll is and they probably think it's a menu item. And New Orleans is very self aware of it's low basketball IQ, a recent satirical article came out in on a local website and it said that most New Orleanians were shocked that that Saints were in the Playoffs again so soon, basically joking that most of the city doesn't know that we have a basketball team to begin with, let alone one that made the post-season.

Philly was able to tell their fans to "Trust the Process" and it worked out that the Sixers won 52 games got the 3rd seed, that aint happening here because people here aren't likely to sit thru it and wait it out.

When they made that trade for Cousins, that was desperate move to put talent around Anthony Davis, so ESPN and others like Chris Broussard don't start using the dreaded phrase "He wants out" and then the ESPN talking heads start trashing the market and start running scenarios where he ends up in New York, Brooklyn or one of the LA teams, like were doing during the CP3 era. This team probably won't survive another star forcing his way out, hell this team's future in the coming decade isn't even all that clear, if we want to be honest.

I know this was a long winded post but this franchise's location and fanbase is probably going to dictate how moves are made here more than general basketball common sense.
