Test audiences HATED Deadpool 2

Y’all niggas know nothing about the power of the force

She is even rumored to be more powerful than Luke

And he did a fucking Jedi mind trick from across the universe.

Stfu
Spoiler alert for people that didn't see it

Luke did a better Jedi mind trick by convincing millions of people to pay for this shitty ass movie cause you thought you were gonna see some fight scenes and only got 3 Mins of light saber action and it wasn't even by him... Last Jedi my ass.. Long ass space chase that was stars wars should've been called

Damn my hopes for Deadpool's success got dashed but we'll see.:smh: Hopefully even if Comcast buys Fox, Disney will be able to get the characters back anyway.

Guess he'll be busy with the Avatar sequels(yes Cameron said he bringing back both him and dude who played his second in command)

I still don't get how the hell he's gonna be in the sequel but hey I guess they realized he played a hell of a good bad guy

That's NOT the dude from AVATAR. That is Kevin Nash the wrestler.

As much as I loved Cable and Deadpool, introducing Cable was probably a bad move. Because the potential for screwing it up was right there in plain sight.

The reason that Cable and Deadpool worked as a team-up is that you understood both character's roots, which made for understanding their differences. At the end of the day, Deadpool brought out a little of Cable's humor/quirkiness (and yes, it does lurk around in there somewhere), and Cable brought out a bit Deadpool's serious/committed side. It's Buddy Cop 101.

That's part of why Colossus worked so well in the first movie. He is as straight line dedicated to the hero mission as it comes, and it's easy to draw that line with very little effort or buildup. Mind you, I love Piotr for this express reason. But it also makes him a perfect foil for Wade's... complete lack of all of that in the first film.

My guess is that if this movie fails, it fails because 1) people who don't know Cable will not give a shit about Cable and 2) people who do know Cable will spend most of their time complaining about this version of Cable or wondering why he's even in the movie to begin with. I can see a path to a successful story, but I don't know that I trust the production to have made those moves.

My question is, are they going to mention that Cable is the son of Cyclops?

Ummm...
Yes dude.
Deadpool IS now a Marvel movie.
Disney now owns the ENTIRE Fox movie and TV library.
This includes The X-Men franchise, The Fantastic Four franchise and yes, The Deadpool franchise as well.

Now, I'm pretty sure Marvel will allow X-Men Dark Phoenix and Deadpool 2 to be released as planned by Fox before both properties are absorbed into the MCU completely.
But yeah bro, Deadpool is now totally a Marvel Cinematic Universe property....

As for Wonder Woman; it was plagued by multiple reports of it being a bad film prior to its release. In the end though, it was all a bunch of bullshit and the movie was great... :D
That's what I figure will happen with Deadpool 2...
Disney doesn't own Fox outright just yet. It's being reviewed by the DOJ to make sure there are no anti-trust violations.

That would require acknowledging Cyclops in some significant way. So I'm going to say no.

(Possible exception: I could see it happening if done as part of some dumb one off "WTF?" type joke, maybe.)

they made a bunch of xmen references of different members in the first Deadpool - so why would that change now?

I tell you what fellas.
We'll just have to agree to disagree.
('Cuz quite frankly I think we've gone WAY off topic):D
You guys say the deal is still pending.
I say it's done.

But in the end; let's just agree that hopefully, regardless of what corporation owns & distributes these films, that we ALL end up with more great superhero/comic book films... ;)

they spinning lying to protect box office

why send out threats about a test screen to bloggers that never went or signed NDAs ?

Sorry. I wasn't being clear, but I meant that facetiously. Because Cyke seems to get the short end of the stick as far as representation in the movies. Of course he actually exists in the X-Men movie-verse, so they could definitely could reference him in that regard.

Deadpool 2’: Here’s What They Added in Reshoots

The Deadpool 2 rumor mill has been swirling over the last couple of days, and we’re here to set the record straight. Reports surfaced yesterday that initial test screenings for the Deadpool sequel went poorly, and that reshoots had been ordered by 20th Century Fox to try and fix some of these issues. According to our sources, this is false.

We’re hearing that the first Deadpool 2 test screening was in January, when the film tested around 90 or 91 out of 100. The studio then had another test screening after more editing had been completed, at which point the film tested in the high 90s. However, while both test screenings went well, our sources tell us that crowds in both screenings had the same “complaint”: They wanted to see more of both Zazie Beets’ character Domino and Josh Brolin’s character Cable.

Reshoots, or additional photography, have become a normal part of the moviemaking process, especially when it comes to blockbusters. So when the Deadpool 2 reshoots rolled around recently, they specifically focused on adding more scenes with Domino and Cable to address this note that came up quite a bit during the film’s test screenings.

So yeah, according to our sources Deadpool 2 did not test poorly, and reshoots were not ordered to fix the movie. They’re simply adding more scenes of two new characters given how well test audiences responded to them in the first place.

We still don’t know too much about the story of Deadpool 2, but Atomic Blondedirector David Leitch is behind the camera and Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick reprised their roles on the follow-up to bring the sequel to fruition. Indeed, Fox was so bullish on the film that they moved its release date up from June 1st to May 18th, putting it in the line of fire in between Disney’s Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

We’ll find out for sure how well the film stacks up then, but for now our sources tell us these test screening rumors are far from the truth.
