Now I gotta binge watch Season 1 again because there's a whole level of depth to Earn's character that I didn't even pay attention to.

Like when the dude asked him about Princeton, I thought it was a joke because of where he is in life.

I mean how fucked up do you gotta be to the point where your parents won't even let you in the house?

I always thought he was the smart guy, because he's so smart-assy, but he actually does a lot of dumb shit because he's so focused on that chip on his shoulder, like Katt said.

I think the underlying lesson here is - just because you're a smart ass to people, that doesn't make you smart.

The funny thing is how he can easily spot the shit other people are doing is stupid, but not the stuff he does in his life

Like I hope he didn't blow the whole 4K, and took care of his living situation, class for probation and son

I was listening to the most recent episode of The Corner podcast and they mentioned it. The host Kel Dansby asked cohost Andreas Hale if he had any movie recommendations and he mentioned it having seen it previously at a film festival, and to check for it this June or so. For the fam' that don't regularly listen to the podcast it's worth a listen ... they cover boxing, MMA, pro wrestling, hiphop & pop culture. They're Vegas-based. Been listening to them in the podcast rotation in recent years. Don't have a timestamp though for the part about the movie ... as I listened to the show last Thursday or Friday ^
