I think the show is showing the good and the bad of the hood. Even though Earn is an educated guy the circumstances of being in the hood and around hood shit leads to bad decisions.
And those decision making skills get really risky when you are broke

I haven’t watch the new season yet of that because I am so disappointed on the direction that shows going it seems like the writers got very lazy on that show. I think the underlying lesson here is - just because you're a smart ass to people, that doesn't make you smart.

Donald Glover was masterful at showing how awkward it can be trying to navigate the weird new corporate music world. Weed sales still supplementing rap sales ....unless your single is popular. Atlanta is great at showing how fucked up things are when examined
