That's what I am hoping BP has open the doors for.
A Black science fiction movie the way I see it, would have to be on a similar level to Black Panther.
So I am hoping Hollywood will throw us a bone. If it up to us solely, then it'll probably not happen.

DC ain’t got the balls or even the ability to pull that off...imo they should do a static movie first...if done right that shit could be everything spider-man: homecoming was and then some...that shit would resonate w/ millions of black teenagers

on the shows are light-hearted and dont take themselves too seriously
while the movies are all doom & gloom, antsy
in the Synder films all the climatic battles are shot in the dark or hard to follow

i watch all the DC shows except Arrow & Supergirl

Nah that aint it, they just can't right now. Remember, they just did Wonder Woman and she is one of the big three. They beat the MCU to the punch there and then that Red Sparrow flick is another gut punch to the MCU too. I know Scarlett Jo sitting somewhere pissed the fuck after when she seen that trailer. Plus, Cyborg was one of the ONLY good things to come out of Justice League and they trying to team him up with Flash now to get his film going. Will still sitting in the wings too, he was largely unscathed from Suicide Squad but he's not a solo act.
DC - and I should say WB just don't have the skills right now. That's how they lost Rick Fu - a black director and all the rest of the directors and writers and talent they trying to get set to do these films. Flash - trouble. Cyborg - trouble. Black Adam - who knows? Green Lantern - oh, we're going with Jon but...

Naaaw it's not two different things you just want it to be because you know I have a very legit valid point;That brother stuck his kneck out there to make that movie and we watched his struggle to get it in theaters and the back-lash before it even came out and that alone should of garnered some of the same enthusiasm from not just regular black people but actors alike,even if he didn't attract the younger folk just half,half of it would of been good,I went and sat and watched it with more whites in the theater than blacks.

Slave Movies are cool, but you have to remember entertainment is escapism/fantasy. People want to feel good and Black Panther is a movie anybody can relate too. Its the reason superhero movies do so well, Its fantasy to escape there normal every lives.

Yep.. They tried to blame the decision on bandwidth and cost concerns but it came out that the real issue was all the fucking racism and hate that festered the boards. White people are sick.
It's funny when you think about. Were we really to believe Amazon didn't have the resources to do a proper upgrade? Especially since they were using the board to help sell DVD's and Amazon streaming?
