If you read the thread, it's obvious when you see the difference between who's critiquing Tariq (rightfully so Tariq can be a dumbass sometimes), and who's trying to discredit Tariq and the documentaries as a whole. Yet none of his documentaries are about him. They're about the scholars telling history. But according to the CAC we should just watch it all on YouTube, but make sure and pay for any white documentaries because only white people can be historians. Funny thing, I wasn't planning on buying 1804. The topic wasn't that interesting to me personally. But seeing that CAC trying so hard to discredit Tariq in the last Tariq thread made me want to buy 5 of them. Because 1) I can, and 2) fuck that CAC.

But again. Not destroying lies in a debate is like not defending the basket in an nba game. If you let cats get layups and don't play any kind of adequate defense to refute claims they run up the score and you lose.

It doesn't matter whether we know they're lying or not. It's Tariq's job as the debater to not count on anyone knowing that he's lying, but to catch him in the lie, expose it for himself to see and articulate it in a way that there can be no doubt the cat was lying.

He's built this brand on calling out white supremacy and also calling out cops as race soldiers. Telling people to stay on code. and producing documentaries about untold black history.
Why would he have to hold back when facing the very thing he built his brand on condemning?
