BREAKING: House Intel Committee votes unanimously to release Democrat memo. Now waits for Trump

Aside from the memo being a somewhat big yawner, remember that it's just that... a memo, and it was written by an aide(s) to someone who is by all accounts caping for trump and swinging from his nuts... and most importantly, it includes only what the author wanted it to include. The documents that it's based on no doubt contain other information not included in the memo. We're not going to see the warrants and other docs, but Schiff's rebutal document is hopefully going to be released soon, and it should include things that Nunes' boy did not include.
that shit was written in the White House by someone that only watches Fox News and Breitbart...
they wrote a memo full of shit that got pulled apart by the Times Post WSJ Newsweek etc during last spring and summer

Not just caping. HE WAS ON THE TRUMP TRANSITION TEAM!

I don't understand why this isn't always mentioned when Nunes is mentioned.

That means Nunes is also likely being investigated.

To me the document just add more fuel to muller investigation one thing for sure Papadopoulos Was a key figure early on

Yeah to be real I don’t see what any of this has to do with the mueller investigation. Unless you say that mueller was listed on this... it means nothing. I don’t care what the DNC did. Politics is just corrupt... but having a foreign power influence an election is an entirely different thing.

here is just the beginning of fact checking:

Read the Nunes Memo, Annotated
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/02/02/us/politics/nunes-memo-gop-fbi-annotated.html

By Monday everyone from WSJ to Shep Smith will resurrect last year's reporting on Steele and the dossier and they will roast Nunes et al.

Problem is this so-called Christopher Steele "Dossier" which wouldn't pass the smell test in Intelligence Services of Burundi or Burkina Faso, yet it was accepted no problem as a viable "intelligence" in the US.

One has to really scratch the head here.

It just defies imagination.

DOJ and FBI warned the White House multiple times that the memo would be a national security risk and might impede on going investigations including Mueller's

Wray sent Nunes a letter saying the same things and cc White House

Rosenstein & Wray sat down with Kelly in person as a proxy for Trump and warned again with same language...

To each of these warnings White House officials under orders from Trump reached out to berate DoJ and FBI officials via letters and phone calls...

While Mueller is currently focused on obstruction and establishing intent...

CARTER PAGE, RUSSIA AND HOW THE FBI OBTAINED A FISA WARRANT TO MONITOR DONALD TRUMP'S EX-FOREIGN POLICY ADVISER
http://www.newsweek.com/carter-page...oreign-intelligence-surveillance-court-582667

The first FISA warrant was obtained on 23rd October 2016 based on a story written by Michael Isikoff for yahoo news here below is the article:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/u-s-inte...ween-trump-adviser-and-kremlin-175046002.html

Based on information he received directly from Christopher Steele.......

The FBI did not disclose in the FISA application that Chris Steele, the discredited ex British Spy was the original source of the information

it did pass the smell test of at least 3 intel groups with better resources than you posted...
Its Trumps fault for blurring the lines with money laundering and his properties... it gives automatic plausibility

Here are the accusations:
1) Trump had cooperated with Russian authorities for years.

A core claim of the dossier is that Russia “had been feeding Trump and his team valuable intelligence on his opponents,” including Clinton, for “several years” before 2016, and that in exchange, Trump’s team fed the Kremlin intelligence on Russian oligarchs and their families “for at least eight years.”

The premise of this theory, that many Russian nationals have bought Trump-branded properties and thus he might be in a position to offer useful information to Russian authorities, is clearly correct, but nothing like it has been shown to be true.

2) Trump is vulnerable to Russian blackmail on sexual matters.

The dossier states that during a trip to the Moscow Ritz-Carlton, Trump hired prostitutes to “perform a ‘golden showers’ (urination) show in front of him”, “defiling” the presidential suite bed in which the Obamas had previously slept, with the implication being that Russian intelligence taped this and that it was one of several forms of “kompromat” the Russians have on Trump.

Nothing like this has been proven.

3) There was a “well-developed conspiracy of cooperation” between Trump and Russia.

Steele describes a Trump-Russia “conspiracy,” managed by Paul Manafort, with Carter Page serving as intermediary until Manafort’s firing in August 2016, after which point Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen played an increasingly large role in managing the “Kremlin relationship.”

This is broadly similar to some things that have been demonstrated later, but totally different in the details.

4) Trump’s team knew and approved of Russian plans to deliver emails to WikiLeaks, and offered them policy concessions in exchange.

The dossier claims that Trump and his campaign team had “full knowledge and support” of Russia’s leak of the DNC emails to WikiLeaks, and that in return, Trump’s team “had agreed to sideline Russian intervention in Ukraine as a campaign issue.”

This is obviously a subject of ongoing investigation, but none of the conversations about Russian dirt on Clinton that have come to light so far demonstrate what the dossier claims.

5) Carter Page played a key role in the conspiracy.

The dossier says that according to an “ethnic Russian associate” of Trump’s, Carter Page had “conceived and promoted” the idea that the DNC emails to WikiLeaks should be leaked during the Democratic convention, “to swing supporters of Bernie Sanders away from Hilary Clinton and across from Trump.”

It also says Page met senior Russian official Igor Diveykin to talk kompromat on Clinton, and met with Igor Sechin to discussion financial payoffs to Page and others via the privatization of the Russian company Rosneft.

Page has denied under oath having met either Diveykin or Sechin, and there’s no indication he had anything to do with the timing of the WikiLeaks release.

6) Michael Cohen played a key role in the conspiracy.

The dossier says that after Paul Manafort was fired, Cohen traveled to a European Union country (later reports claim it was the Czech Republic) in late August or early September to meet with Russian officials, and that the meeting took place under the cover of a Russian NGO, Rossotrudnichestvo.

One topic of this meeting was “coverup and damage limitation” around Manafort’s Ukrainian work and efforts to “prevent the full details of Trump’s relationship with Russia being exposed.” According to the dossier, after August, Cohen continued to manage Trump’s relations with Russia, but after this point, contacts were made to Russia’s “trusted agents of influence” instead of officials.

Cohen also supposedly discussed how to make “deniable cash payments” to hackers working under Kremlin direction, and how to cover up those operations.

Cohen’s purported proof that he’s never been to Prague — showing a passport that lacks a Czech Republic stamp — is unconvincing because he could have traveled to Prague via another Schengen area country and might have multiple passports. But none of this has been proven.

This whole thing feels like the GOP health care plan all over again.

You know. The original one. six or seven years ago. The big folder that was full of nothing.

...I know they've had a few folders full of nothing, so I"ll give you a minute to remember.

Why does a discredited former MI-6 officer reach out on his own to the FBI when the normal point of contact would be the CIA??????

I'm asking again, what is made up in this case ? What did they make up about Trump, Page, Manafort, Papadopolus, Trump Jr, Kushner, etc?

tumblr_op3nchFkCa1qkvbwso1_500.png

The government having the ability to invent a reason to spy is worse than living in an authoritarian regime. MLK was accused of having ties to Communists which led nowhere, however the dirt dug up was used to blackmail.

gtfoh
how is reporting on the investigation = causing FISA request?

Page had been on the radar of the FBI at least as far back as 2013, when a bureau wiretap caught suspected Russians spies discussing their attempts to recruit him. Even after being interviewed by the investigators in that case, Page continued to have extensive contacts with Russians, including trips to Moscow in July and December 2016.

your entire question is a lie...

did you actually read anything about the Steele Dossier not posted on Stormfront?

fyi - its illegal for the CIA to operate domestically... all domestic counterintel is conducted by the FBI

The document starts with a cover letter from Trump’s official lawyer.

Now its easy to see why the FBI and DOJ leadership opposed the release of this memo. It includes names of individuals alleged to have engaged in corrupt and potentially illegal activities.

Those individuals have a legal presumption of innocence, but the publication of their names may dissuade non-corrupt individuals from working for the FBI and DOJ, either because they conclude the organizations are corrupt or because they fear politically motivated accusations of corruption.

Alot of work to make a bunch of bullshit look credible. ..

The real story is that FBI dealings with ordinary citizens are probably no different than their apparently illegal dealings with Carter Page.

The same goes for other intelligence agencies, CIA, NSA, DIA, and so on.

Ive read a lot of sealed government investigative reports when I use to handle fed cases and this memo appears to be written by a College Senior. To be on the real it honestly isn’t saying anything that we already don’t know.

I’ve got way more concerns with higher ups in the presidents team meeting with Russians spies and the President ordering Comey to stop his investigation and then firing him later.

Even if this Carter Paige thing was the nuke.. There are multiple investigations going on with the President and his staff... one thing is never going to be grounds to shut down an entire organization.

Google "Kash Patel". When people call this "stupid watergate", they are 100% accurate.

Discredited?

The alphabet boys aren't in the practice of taking intel from discredited "five eyes" intelligence agents. Tighten up boro.

I believe we're in a Constitutional crisis right now, but no one wants to admit it...
We are in a constitutional crisis because of what Obama and the Democrats did to our FBI, State and Justice Dept. Those WH moles and leakers? Obama and Democrat holdovers, too.

Thank god for Trump or else the democrat-instilled corruption would never have been exposed or even if exposed, would be too big to fight off. I’m not even sure Trump alone will be able to. That’s how entrenched the corruption is with eight years of Clinton and eight years of Obama

You piece of shit
Why does a former MI-6 officer reach out on his own to the FBI when the normal point of contact would be the CIA?

I’m not an expert but maybe because he felt like it’s a domestic issue and the FBI was the better agency to handle this situation vs the cia. Why wouldn’t he go to the FBI?

Normal contact? Why would this matter? This isn’t a movie. Sounds like he was so surprised he tried to follow proper procedures and go to the FBI vs some old contact that may or may not still be at the agency.

Finally. When the facts are against you and the law. Throw shit on the wall and on yourself and claim the whole situation stinks. This is your argument.

Blacks peacefully kneeling for anthem to protest brutality= Disrespect to military and law enforcement

Drumpf shitting on federal LEO, discrediting intelligence community, exposing espionage methods, destroying relationships with international allies = Exposing abuse

Trump is finished he’s a caged cornered animal at this point..

That faggit Nunes going to jail

You're gnawing on this bone like there's something meaningful there. Vicious already explained this clearly. He took his findings to the appropriate branch of intelligence. He also passed this info along to British intelligence as well.

He was contracted to do oppo research first by republicans and later by the dems and the findings were so extraordinary that Fusion GPS continued funding his research even after the dems stopped paying. Being this dismissive about the contents of that dossier and it's messenger (even as some of the content has already been corroborated by our own intel agencies) strikes me as purposely obtuse and really, really dumb.

Like I said. Tighten up.
