My Nano was in stock when I ordered from Ledger and it still took about a month to get here.

the competition was expected... but the good news is there is room for competitors... visa of course has the advantage in that they are already established and damn

near owns the world.. but if ripple keeps their fees low that will allow them to get a lot of businesses that visa wont be able to, because you know they are gonna have a high fee charge in the long run...

like the video said ripple has a lot of things going on this year, and we should see some spikes when the money gram thing kicks in and they come out with their debit card...

ripple is still a strong hold for 2018.....

There's really no predicting who will win the battle. Ripple was the first so I'm holding. VISA is VISA. If you on the low low moving money from country to country you not fucking with VISA and their exchange rates and fees and shit. They're new to blockchain not to mention the hackers will target them. Just my thought.

Coinbase Overshoots 2017 Revenue Goal By 66% Making $1 Bln, Rejects Further VC Funding
America’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase reportedly made $1 billion in revenue in 2017, overshooting its 2017 revenue forecast of $600 mln by 66 percent, Recode reports, citing “industry sources.” According to Recode, despite the peaked interest of outside investors, the company remains private and does not allow stock to be traded on secondary markets.

The platform was swamped by an influx of new users looking to set up trading accounts as Bitcoin entered a massive bull run in November, 2017. Following the announcement of Bitcoin futures launch early that month on CME, Coinbase saw 100,000 new users sign up in just 24 hours.

Although Bitcoin’s long bull run ended in the week leading up to Christmas, its rise to an all time high of $20,000 in mid-December saw Coinbase make massive revenues through trades on its platform.

I put in my public address and the next page asked for my private key. We all know to NOT give that out. I googled Funfair Airdrop and turns out the twitter link I saw was fake. It's a known scam. Glad I stopped but main these hackers are no joke and relentless when trying to steal people's hard earned coins.

Damn the scamming trend going to fuck with the adaption rate

50 Cent Accidentally Made Millions by Accepting Bitcoin for His Last Album

Since it was announced in early 2017 that 50 Cent was no longer bankrupt, the rapper-turned-mogul's financial situation keeps taking wild new turns in positive directions. Last July, he sold a $60 million share in Effen Vodka, and now it's been revealed that he made millions by getting into the suddenly trendy cryptocurrency game early.

According to a report from TMZ, 50 became the first rapper to accept bitcoin as payment for his Animal Ambition album upon its 2014 release. The project reportedly earned him 700 bitcoins in total. At the time, each bitcoin was worth $662, so 50 pocketed approximately $463,000 in sales.

Sources tell TMZ that 50 left all 700 bitcoins sitting in his account for years, during which time the cryptocurrency coin rose from relative obscurity to become a money-printing machine. With bitcoin's current value sitting right around $11,000, 50's 700 coins are now worth over $7 million.

  • http://icotracker.net - I like this site for looking at what ICO are coming up

  • http://www.icoalert.com - Another good site for upcoming ICO tracking

  • http://icodrops.com - More ICO listings and they have a "hype" rating

  • http://bitcointalk.org - Probably the biggest crypto community, lots of Bitcoin old timers who have seen it all

  • Both Medium and Steemit have plenty of blogs to follow depending on what interests you within crypto

  • Telegram is the preferred chat platform, just stay away from PnD groups (same for Discord PnD groups)
Analysis tools

  • http://cryptowat.ch - Great charting tool owned by Kraken that gives you a pretty wide look at various cryptos across most major exchanges.

  • http://coinmonsta.io/metrics - Want to see what the most shilled coins are on Twitter? This ranking multiplies the number of tweets vs. sentiment estimate to arrive at a score.

  • http://onchainfx.com - A better version of coin market cap, has all sort of columns and you can add flags. Also I like their market segmentation filters.

  • http://www.sifrdata.com/ - Great visualizations of various metrics. I find their correlations to be very useful.

  • http://www.coingecko.com - includes useful information about crypto like the breakdown volume by fiat currency, social media stats, code repository stats..etc

  • http://www.tradingview.com/chart/ - the best charting site that I use for stocks, however it has plenty of major cryptos

  • http://www.badbitcoin.org - a list of all the known scam sites. Check this list before joining something.
Portfolio Tracking

  • Delta and Blockfolio are the major mobile apps, I personally recommend Delta.

  • For desktop I prefer to use a CoinMarketCap API Excel tracker that automatically draws live data from CoinMarketCap. Customize it to your own liking. There are also plenty of online tracking sites like AltPocket but I've never used them so can't recommend one.
Youtube

I generally don't follow much on Youtube because it's dominated by idiocy like Trevon James and CryptoNick, but there are some that I think are worthy of following:

  • Crypto Investor - A background in finance gives Crypto Investor a much more nuanced approach, and he is very insightful in terms of investor behavioral psychology. Listening to his negativity and criticism of parabolic price action in a sea of lambo chasing is refreshing.

  • CoinMastery - Carter Thomas takes on a rational mid-term to long term approach to investing in crypto, and has been a voice of reason many times.

  • DataDash - The DataDash channel is run by Nicholas Merten, and I've always enjoyed his coin reviews. A good way to get introduced to a coin without the shilling.

  • IvanOnTech - Brings a programmers perspective, goes through the Github and explains many programming issues with blockchains.

Ok, I'm trying to get in on some zilliqa. The token issue is on the 25th. Speculation says ether Delta. Anyone had any issues with that exchange?

EtherDelta is probably best known for its anonymity. The cost of being able buy without KYC is a horrible user interface. Watch the tutorials and make sure you know what you are doing before placing an order.

Snoop Dogg Embraces Bitcoin for His Next Record

Snoop Dogg, or 'Snoop Lion' as he is known in his latest reggae incarnation, is planning to make his next record available to buy in bitcoin.

Although he isn't exactly an economist, Snoop is an acclaimed artist and a force to be reckoned with in the record industry.

Last week Snoop Dogg tweeted that his next record will be “available in bitcoin and delivered in a drone”. The remark did not go unnoticed, and he got a few replies from bitcoin outfits interested in helping out, including Coinbase and BitPay. Snoop Dogg replied, asking for more information and saying that he wants to “make it happen”.

@coinbase dm your info. I want to make it happen.

— Snoop Dogg (@SnoopDogg) December 9, 2013

We aren't so sure about the drone, but perhaps Jeff Bezos will be willing to help out on that one.

Of course, this may just be a good old publicity stunt. However, the prospect of paying for a few albums on iTunes with bitcoin sounds tantalising to say the least.

Cryptocurrencies and downloadable content sound like a match made in heaven, but it is highly unlikely that the likes of Apple will embrace bitcoin anytime soon.

Like Amazon’s drones, bitcoin is still facing some technical and regulatory issues that will not be resolved overnight.

Oddly enough, bitcoin was also mentioned in The Simpsons last week. It's only fitting that a virtual entertainer brought up the virtual currency, so Krusty the Clown got the line.

While discussing his usual money woes with Lisa, the ever sarcastic Krusty said: “All it takes is some bad luck at the ponies, worse luck in the bitcoin markets, and heavy investments in a high-end bookmark company.”

It was hardly a flattering reference, but both Snoop and Krusty are proof that bitcoin is going mainstream. It is no longer a puzzling concept and a playground for geeks, it is becoming relevant to a much wider audience.

How to Add a Custom Token to the NEON Wallet

Posted by Chris McCoy | Jan 24, 2018 | NEO Wallets, NEON Wallet, Tutorials, Wallets | 3 |
NEON-Wallet-and-Custom-NEO-Token-Logo.png

NOTE: You do not need to add a token to the NEON wallet before sending to your NEO wallet address. Adding a token in the NEON wallet is simply for user interface purposes, as well as being able to then send it from your NEON wallet.
NEON Wallet and Custom Tokens

The NEO blockchain is starting to experience more ICOs, which means more tokens to put in your wallet. This is similar to when Ethereum started to have a lot of ICOs and people needed to add a custom token to their MyEtherWallet wallet. This guide covers adding a custom token to your NEON wallet in a few easy steps. Check out this article if you need a NEON wallet!

Adding a custom token to your NEON Wallet

1. Open the NEON wallet app and choose “Manage Neon Settings
NEON-Wallet-Choose-Manage-Wallet-Settings.png

2. Click the “Manage Tokens” button
NEON-Wallet-Click-Manage-Tokens.png

3. You will notice there are a few tokens already listed here. The current ones are DBC, RPX, RHT, and QLC. Click the “Add a new token” button
NEON-Wallet-Click-Add-a-New-Token.png

4. Enter in the script hash for the token you want to add and click “Save”.
In this example, I wanted to add the Trinity token (TNC). I went to the NEO Tracker Asset tab and found TNC to get the hash. Here is the asset page of Trinity so you can see: https://neotracker.io/asset/08e8c4400f1af2c20c28e0018f29535eb85d15b6 . The script hash is 08e8c4400f1af2c20c28e0018f29535eb85d15b6 in case you want to follow along.
NEON-Wallet-Script-Hash-Box.png

NEON-Wallet-Click-Save-for-the-new-token.png

5. Now you can login to your NEON wallet and should see TNC listed (top screenshot). Clicking on the ‘i’ will show you the token details (bottom screenshot) Note that it can take a minute or 2 for the tokens to display.
NEON-Wallet-Showing-TNC-Token.png

NEON-Wallet-Trinity-Token-Details.png

Summary

Adding a custom token to the NEON wallet is a straightforward process. A lot more ICOs are coming to the NEO blockchain, so you can expect to perform these steps more frequently. Be sure to check back for guides on how to find the script hash for a token, as well as how to send tokens from your NEON wallet! For more wallet guides, check out the wallet tutorial page!

I was able to use a VPN to get in on Rentberry ICO but after you buy the tokens they want you to verify your identify before they send them to you. So I dont know what's going to happen now.

Yeah... I was able to buy the tokens in the states without using a VPN.... I dropped the knowledge to the board the same day.... And when people from the board tried to buy it... It started asking what country their in and all that.

So yeah I'm not sure how it's going to work once it goes live... But bitch better have my money like ODB said

Best advice... stay out of Icos that Americans can’t participate in.. That kyc shit is real now
Yeah, unless you got a plug that can sign up for you. They going overboard with that KYC shit. And as expected, they are more and more of them going with that 'accredited investor' bullshit. Knew that was coming. Sooner or later, this game will only be for 'accredited investors' to protect the people of course. :smh:
