Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

Invest in platform coins.
if yall haven't signed up for kucoin do it here. https://www.kucoin.com/#/?r=12124
hell yea that's my referral code
but thank me later. all the new gems are hitting that exchange to the point where you don't even really need to hope it gets on binance or bittrex. this is a future exchange.
sign up. take a look around. pretty much every coin you're trying to buy or just coming out of ico is on there. i got dragons under $1 from there been buying them all week since i missed the ico
i bought the kucoin shares coin itself for under $1 and check the price of it now...

tip tip tip

They have been doing people dirty with that draconian verification nonsense. Then they go weeks holding people's funds. They act like they are a fucking fiat gateway. These the same assclowns been holding Gas hostage for months. Only reason I fuck with them is to have as many points of entry and exit as possible.

IMHO, binance is by far the superior platform. Kucoin is about to eat bitchrex. There's literally no reason for a non-fiat exchange to be as intrusive as bittrex. They need to release the funds they holding hostage for all those crypto traders they revoked verification for.

All this KYC bullshit is getting out of hand, especially for Americans.

yea I wish I knew then what I know now.....

and Im sure if you were to cash out over ten geez, they will give the irs a nod your way...

are you payin taxes on your coins this year or waiting till you cash out??

its so foolish if the irs will let you make money you will be writing them bigger checks when you cash out...

and by the way aint this double taxation.. Im buyin cryptocoins with money I paid taxes on already..

so basically they are taxing me twice.....

dayam everybody wants a piece of yo profits...

so you already have to pay taxes on it, then more fees just to use your own funds...

crazy...

Yea man look at this shit lol... I was just messing around and so I got my bitpay card linked to my wallet. For $70, they charge a network cost and a miner fee for a total of $47!...smh

Im a just cash out using paypal as before. The bitpay debit card is only good for convenience. Meaning if you just want to make purchases from bitcoin profits. I would just load like 2 or 4k one time and not bother loading smaller transactions. Fees are too costly. But its a possibilty Im doing something wrong

Man, I just don't understand all of these alt-coins. The cynic in me says this is just a way for the exchanges and creators of alt-coins to collect and save more bitcoins.
Here's one of my main concerns with alt-coins - How do you determine what to buy?
It seems like one big guessing game.
I invest in stocks and some may say that trading stocks is also a guessing game. But with stocks I can point to key points of data to make an
educated guess. I can learn about the company, the CEO, the board, the companies financials, etc, etc, etc. With alt-coins I have no idea what I'm buying or the people behind it. It's as if everyone is chasing the latest hyped coin and trying to make a quick buck. I'm not trying to be negative. I'm trying to understand what exactly is going on.

And to the brother that mentioned borrowing to buy alt-coins. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't do that. With the volatility in this market you can easily end up in debt.

two words..

white paper....

makes sure any coin you invest in has one that you can read..

also alt coins worth investing in are first determined by the developers, and do you personally believe that what they are developing

will have some use in the real world.. then check out if the project has a strong community a large number of people who believe in it..

of course you have many more indicators to help you to determine a coins success or not.. but the above is what I check for first..

Take the time to fiqure it out

This time next year you will be glad you did

I finally copped some Ripple (XRP). wish i would have got into it last year when this thread started.

Which exchange is best to use to buy Ripple? Bitstamp talking forever to verify.

If you have a bittrex account you can buy ripple there (not with cash, you'll need either bitcoin or ethereum). You can also buy ripple with btc and eth on Binance.
Thanks.

Dammit, they are not accepting new sign ups right now.

I want to throw 2k at something.. I own 2.5 litecoins, small Eth, small btc, $400 in xrp and a Lil in random alt coins.. What coin or coins would u buy with $2k and how would u watch and manage it?

Shit just read this thread, it's pretty up to date I think....

Them use this

https://coinmarketcap.com/

Just look at the movement(24hr changes)

Take ur own risk with some, use some for calculated risk and watch the numbers move...

I'm waiting on Tron to do what it gonna do...

Good luck

Man think about this many of us copped that Bitcoins at the $13k and up...

So these $2 ain't nothing
i actually put a couple hundred on Bitcoin around that price. I know its not much. but I plan to hold for a year or two.

i see ripple listed at 2.63 on that site. Bitstamp has it at a lower price. What accounts for the price differences?

Thanks. I figured that. You guys watching for dips in charts for buy ins or how you picking them

Honestly, this thread is a big help to get an idea of what to look for...privacy coins, coins with a good dev team behind them and promising future announcements. It really just depends what you're looking for.

I myself am just looking for a few good coins that I can hopefully set and forget for about 6 months and reap the rewards.

I don't know what my plan is. I'm not trying to evade any taxes. Doing to good for that shit. I want to see if I can do long-term capital gains on some of this shit. Who the fuck knows man. If government's don't fuck it up trying to 'protect us,' a good number of BGOL cats will be at 8 figures by the end of 2018. Big new money is moving in and vets throwing 10s of thousands at coins like it ain't shit man.

You know those places that sell luxury items for BTC? That's where cats might have to go to move some of this money.:eek: Shit, some have to do that right now.

For yall newbies.... Make sure you download an app called "coinstats"... You log in how much of which Altcoin you bought and the time and date... It will keep track of your earnings so you can tell which coins have you winning and which ones you may want to give up on.

Remember this is all a gamble and still very new.... None of us are experts... But I want us all to win!!

Me too. Looking to throw a couple hundred in a few and jus leave it

I hope they move that money only on exchanges out of the country...

these u.s exchanges will snitch their asses out...if they start moving big money off their exchange...

the irs mafia will be lookin to set examples to keep the rest of the flock in line..

they just better not be stupid about it... because they will fuck up a good thing by being too greedy..

like I said Im willin to pay my share.. but if they start nit pickin and want over fifty percent..

I will throw my u.s passport in their gluttonous faces..

sheeet Im over forty... Im lookin for somewhere tropical to spend my later years..
