Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

Next time you want to buy coins, if you are using a credit card, use bitstamp.

If you are using a checking account, do a wire transfer to Gdax.

It's taking so long because millions of people are doing the exact same thing that you are doing, do something different and it'll go faster.

I tried Bitstamp, but my bank, Wells Fargo, rejected the purchase. When I called my bank, they said it was rejected because it was an overseas transaction and they suspected fraud. I told them to let it go thru, but on that same call they warned me that Bitstamp treats it as a cash advanced and that I would pay a higher interest rate.
If I paid it off right away it wouldn't matter, but for some reason I wasn't comfortable so I cancelled the transaction

Shiiit.... at this point 5 dollars is a given...
In that case... Fuck the world! :money:

Nah it's gonna take more than $5. Maybe @ $30 and I sell everything, pay some taxes to clear my conscience... I might reevaluate some life decisions.

I like the idea of the bitpay card of course time will tell

Do you think the banks will be less likely to flag an account coming from bitpay Visa card when transferring money?

You can initiate an ACH debit by providing the account and routing number of your BitPay Card account to the service that will be making the debit.

You can find your account and routing numbers under the Direct Deposit tab at bitpay.com/visa/dashboard.

Reminder: ACH debit includes a fee of $5.

I like the spending, atm withdrawal and load limits that bitpay allow. As far as real life practices and usage go, time will tell.

Users of Cryptocurrency Exchange Bittrex Unable to Withdraw Money
:frozen:
Fuck

Several clients of popular cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex have complained about being unable to withdraw their money. Reportedly, the exchange has been dealing with some problems in processing clients' requests for withdrawals. Allegedly, the delays have been of several weeks, up to one month.

For the moment, the exact reason why the exchange has been processing clients' requests so late has not been revealed. However, some reports indicated that most likely the delays were caused by the company's verification system issues. It is a well-known fact that the exchange asks all its users to submit government-issued IDs in order to access its platform.

Customers of Las Vegas exchange Bittrex claim they are having problems withdrawing money and are not receiving any communication from the company as to why.

While the cryptocurrency market has experienced a huge growth in the past few months, the number of users on Bittrex's platform have also increased.

The high number of users and the verification process have allegedly caused the delays in the platform's ability to process requests. The company itself admitted that the verification process was dealing with some difficulties.

Bittrex allegedly searching for solutions to reduce verification time
Bittrex stated that it was looking into this process and was working on some solutions to reduce the verification time. The company also admitted that some users have been dealing with some delays, but claimed that only a small percentage of people were affected.

The company also stated that it hired more people to be able to deal with these delays, as one of the first measures taken to solve the situation.

An important thing to mention in this context is that Bittrex has previously done some work to avoid potential issues by upgrading its system to address the high amount of new users. Earlier this month, the company also said that it placed a temporary halt on user registration as it was working on a few upgrades to support the traffic.

yea I had a basic account and received an email that I would not be able to withdraw money untill I had an enhanced account..

I maybe wrong but I am willing to bet a lot of those users had a basic account...

I had a problem loggin in... and it took bittrex seven days to get back to me.. but once they do get in touch they do their best to resolve the issue..

I just think a lot of these exchanges are understaffed in the customer service area..
