So if he is counseling people in DC what is the big deal about whatever he claims is happening in Pennsylvania? A license isn't a national credential, it is state by state

So he is above reproach because he has taken some kids on college tours but every time Steve Harvey's name is typed he is slammed as a coon and he has done tangible things for thousands of at-risk boys every year.


As someone asked earlier......Why are critiques hating and what makes some think any of these cats are above reproach..

I was just stating that other personalities who are lauded on the board have problematic rhetoric as well; from Boyce saying that niggas wanna just buy Jordans instead of investing in bitcoin to Tariq and Jason Black talking down to their callers and supporters then turn around and ask for donations for their next project from the same people, i think we could nitpick anyone, i was just saying Umar has done some things and we need to stop being so binary im how we view these personalities.

Dude is a damn egomaniac, and I don't think it is debatable. Don't mean he has no value, but it is easy to put down people because of their perceived flaws, but then get sensitive when people highlight yours.

That's the part I don't get about Umar.

He clearly takes joy and pride in belittleing black people.

I don't understand why he makes that part of his platform.

Maybe it shouldn't be, but that right there is a deal breaker for me.

I don't question his motives, the work he puts in, his goals... but on a personal level I would never deal with him or recommend others to.

The conscious community many are a bunch of fakers. They have a selective outrage attitude. Only call out oppression as long as it’s a white face. Plus, attack those who really want change. You’ll see who’s who when the real revolution comes. There are many blacks who want to stay in this same condition and never get out.

Tariq critiqued Umar when he got caught up with the fake conscious chick. He offered advice on where he went wrong instead of trying to shit on him for the sake of just doing so. The dude obviously has flaws he needs to work on.

For someone with so many followers he still doesn’t have the 2500 sigs. Umar needs to humble himself and start to conduct himself like what he portrays. I don’t think it would have come to this unless the money and shadyness of his elusive ways in detailing what the money is being logistically used for was clarified. You ask for black peoples help, their dollar then you publicly ridicule and rebuke them? The man may be brilliant but he obviously has ego issues. I’m not going to celebrate his potential stripping of his credentials but know this: it’s very easy to point the finger at everything and everyone but giving yourself a reality check is very hard. That's reasonable.

I'd argue that Boyce's critique was constructive as well - always has been. In his recent talks about Umar, Boyce offered up the things he found to be positive about Umar as well as what he saw as being trouble spots.

I’ve never seen or known Boyce to outright attack anyone. You’re right, he offered to talk and ask Umar what if anything was the issue with between them. They are intellectuals, why resort to common shit and ignorance?
