TRX is on binance. For the vets, Can i use a bank acct or CC to purchase, or does it have to be one of the listed coins? I'm still learning how to navigate these exchanges.
yea you have to get some bitcoin first... there are many ways to do it, I just use coinbase for bitcoin, then go to the exchange I want to use..
get an address from them.. then send the bitcoin from coinbase to the that bitcoin address from the exchange I want to use..
makes sure you send bitcoins only to an bitcoin address from the site...
then once the exchange has your bitcoin purchase/trade for any other coin you want...
there may be more economical ways but thats what I do...
at the moment the fee to ship bitcoins from coin bases to binance is $31.00, while bitcoins is $1.43
its been a minute since Ive done it... but thats insane...I think I paid eleven bucks six months ago....
there has to be a more economical way...
Lowest Fees / Trusted Exchanges
GDAX - While GDAX only focuses on the big 3 (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin), the fees are a standard 0.25% taker & 0% maker type structure. The advantage that I give to GDAX is that it is connected to Coinbasewhich gives you some great ease of use in transfer of funds to an exchange account with no fee at all.
CEX.io - The UK based CEX.io makes the list because while most of the exchanges here have a standard fee of 0.25%, CEX.io only charges 0.20% per trade! That combined with a solid user interface make it a winner in my book.
Poloniex - One of the most popular exchanges, Poloniex offers a ton of coins to trade and is built on rock solid technology. They have a 0.25% taker & 0.15% maker fee. This is the only exchange out of my top 5 I don't have any experience trading on though.
Kraken - My California favorites! This exchanges platform is a little more complicated to figure out, and while their fees are slightly higher then the rest (0.26% taker/0.16% maker) they are a trusted platform and if you do some decent volume of sales you can get those fees reduced a lot.
Bittrex - Another big US player in the exchange market is the Las Vegas based Bittrex. They have an across-the-board 0.25% fee for trading and do a ton of volume.
Coming Soon
There has been a little hype around a new altcoin exchange coming out called (of course!) Altcoinexchange.com.. They don't have the exchange up and going right now, but you can sign up for more information on when they launch and I think it will be worth checking out as long as their fees stay low!
Ok what's currently the best way to transfer from bank account to an exchange.
I have an account with many exchanges. Verified on most.
