This will be a decent t.v. for stocking stuffers and a few elderly relatives.

I just save the box and foam, and watch that warranty down to the day it expires.

any issues after that and it goes back to the store.

Anything that is higher Hz like 120 and 240 is digitally faked, and like the digital zoom on a camera, it sucks. All you are doing is either duplicating frames, or making extra artificial "mixed frames" from the real frames before and after. Its mostly a marketing gimmick. First thing I do when i get a new TV is turn that shit off, makes everything but sports look weird af.
Many websites have tutorials to teach people to turn this crap off as it gives your shows and movies what are called the "soap-opera" effect.

Many directors are now calling on the TV manufacturing industry to turn it off by default as well

The makers of Stranger Things also called for people to disable this before watching S2 because of the way it makes things look.

As for this TV, I bought it a month or so ago at the same price and put it in our bedroom to replace an almost 10 y/o Sony 42" LCD. It looks good, and I haven't had any issues with it. TruSound is nice also to stop some shows from being super loud and other stuff being too quiet.

You can't tell a difference.....
fuck I'm late to the party. can a'lll post any more cheap tvs? I need one for my bedroom.
thanks for actually educating some people.
far too many people see "numbers" and think one thing when they have absolutely no idea wtf they are talking about.
i also turn that shit (the soap opera effect) off the moment i power a new tv on. as you said it makes everything but sports and animated movies look ridiculous.

As soon as I get a new tv I turn that offi went over my best friend's house a couple of weeks ago. i don't see him often anymore because we live in different states. i didn't even tell him how terrible his new 65" samsung looked with the soap opera effect on.
he already thinks i am a home theater/theater snob.
