Android does the exact same thing
Do you have a link to an article showing an Android OEM reducing performance based on battery age?
We're not talking about phones slowing down because of newer, more demanding OS versions.

Now if you don't want to fix the problem, it's 100% on you. Every Android operating system in there is free.

I'e literally thrown my s7 maybe 6 times in since the s8 came out
It's a sales tactic all businesses use
It says s7.
And who cares if you take me seriously, your opinion won't fix my keyboard, let me text pic and vids, stop my internet apps from freezing and crashing, keep my fingerprint pad from malfunctioning...
And BTW... it's SOFTWARE That's in question here... The SOFTWARE is what' slowing down the phones.
No they don't.
While sometimes devices are defective I have met a lot of people who complain about their androids but don't have a clue about properly maintaining them. I have an S7 edge and it runs like butter. If you know what you are doing and it's still fucking up I think it's safe to say you got a poor device. I had an S4 in mint condition and it ran excellently except for a time when my battery kept dying. I ordered a new battery but after further investigation I turned out to be an app. Not another problem since the app was ditched. Gave it to my daughter a few months ago after she lost her phone and she lost it in two weeks. Suffice to say my S7 runs so well I have no desire to upgrade until the S10 drops. You can reinstall the OS just like you can on a PC. And don't sleep on AdClear from Seven.com. That Adclear is great for non rooted devices. Check out xda forums.
Came in calling everyone idiots.
Too emotional. Like “Aple” is the only company doing dirty shit. Enjoy your shit that needs all kinds of software to keep it safe. Technology changes everyday. If your laptop or iPad is 3 or 4 years old, you’re not too concerned about the latest or fastest. It’s just function for some. Chill.
fuckin doc troll game lit as fuck....lol
You I have to know what I'm doing...
I've had the last 4 galaxy phones... and I seem to always stop knowing what I'm doing when the new model is dropping...
Weird
lol.. who da fuck is that supposed to be...??
Only thing that means is that there is no Samsung store.IPhone users always say how 3-4 years later their device is still running smooth but everytime you pass/into a Apple store it's packed with people standing in line waiting to get their shit fixed..lol
Yeah, its bullshit. My work phone is an iPhone 6 and the bitch would be at like 50% one minute, then 22% and then completely die... even talked to my coworkers and their phones do the same thing. Luckily my personal phone is a Note8
It just hit me; Apple had that issue with the “I” button showing some random garbage a few months back; and the only way to “fix” it was to update the iOS. I’ll bet that the “I” issue was a Trojan horse to get more old iPhone users to upgrade the iOS; then they slow it down to the point of no return. Slick ass business move on their part.
As an IT Professonal I spend far too much time explaining shit like this. This is the same thing that happens on laptops, computers and all devices that can be upgraded. When a new operating system is made it is created using newer hardware specs, it is tested on that hardware for optimum performance. Old hardware can run the new software but should not be expected to perform as it did on the old software. Why? Because the new O/S require more resources thus with the limited resources of old devices, slowness should be expected. Computers don’t get slow, the resources required to run the operating system, run your software and utilize your ISP internet service all increase.
People whom moved to win10 from win8 speak of their computer being slower, when in fact their computer is not slower , it’s just that the new O/S require more resources than the old one. This is the case with the iPhone, the new o/s require more of the hardware than previous operating systems and because older phones don’t have any more resources to give the phone slows down. If you get a new battery in an old phone it definitely should make the phone faster as the new battery introduces resources to the phone it didn’t have and make those resources available to the phone.
It’s really that simple, while planned obsolescence is real, the lack of resources on old devices of any kind is real also. This is why when new operating systems are introduced they are introduced along side new and faster hardware. They have a minimum required memory and hard drive and then they have the max it can support. You should not expect a device of any kind to perform like a device with superior resources.

I've only had one Android phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Loved it for the most part, but it slowed down on me after less than a year. Especially the photo gallery. I had about 1,000 pictures in it and it took forever for the app to open - IF it didn't outright crash. The battery started dying on me after about a year.
Conversely, my iPhones batteries tended to run well for at least two years. I have always had thousands of photos in the Pictures app, yet it would open immediately with no lag. Right now, I have 16,000 on my iPad Air 2. The Pictures app opens right away.
I'm not saying that one is better than the other. Just sharing my own experience.

On my third s7Trade that shit in and get another one. I don't know what if any kind of coverage your plan offers but if you can get a replacement. My brother got the Note 8 and that bitch is sweet. He's the one that told me about Secure Folder. Also when you use AdClear to block the ads it will make your battery last longer.
I never had an issue with slow downs on any of my "old" Android phones then again never had any problems with battery degradation most likely because we have the ability to swap them out but I always used extended batteries. Y'all shit is an Apple problem android is used by multiple companies so we don't have to worry about one sole company sabotaging the other phones to force upgrades. Sorry. Y'all the sheep.
software that is tied to one companies phone, meaning it becomes a hardware issue. And BTW... it's SOFTWARE That's in question here... The SOFTWARE is what' slowing down the phones.

There are probably hundreds of different phones running Android.
