It's confirmed Aple slows down old phones with weak batteries. Enjoy your rape you sheep

My ipad 4 is slow, only way I sped it up was to turn off location and background app updating ...

I rarely use it for browsing, now I just use it for the Directv app, youtube, plex and podcasts...

At this point, I'm not sure if I'm going to get another tablet or any other apple product.

Are the members of this forum really this dumb?

I couldn’t tell you how long it took for my computer from 97 to turn on when the towers fell. Btw, that computer had a 5 GB hard drive and 32 mb ram. By the turn of the millennium most computers had 64 and 100 gb. The phones today are built to last 3 years tops.

"Apple has allegedly made changes to iOS that deliberately scale down the performance of older iPhone models as their batteries degrade beyond a certain point"

:smh:

This is the type of borderline criminal stuff that Microsoft used to do.

Response even sounded like a sheep

It is interesting how droid folks throw around the term sheep.

I never had an issue with slow downs on any of my "old" Android phones then again never had any problems with battery degradation most likely because we have the ability to swap them out but I always used extended batteries. Y'all shit is an Apple problem android is used by multiple companies so we don't have to worry about one sole company sabotaging the other phones to force upgrades. Sorry. Y'all the sheep.

I've still gpt my IPhone 5s , but I've got a Mophie case around it. I'm going to keep it until the Mophie dies before I upgrade.

the iPad 4 came out in 2012 and you complaining is slow in 2017

Have a good number of Apple products so I'm not a 'hater.' It's just fuck Apple. Only good thing about Apple is that they don't have a enough market share for their overpriced/underpowered pieces of shit computers so viruses aren't really coming for them like that.

Fuck if they slow it down, not getting another iphone.

Bullshit. Android is software not hardware. In order for me to take you seriously you should have named which manufacturer first.
It says s7.

And who cares if you take me seriously, your opinion won't fix my keyboard, let me text pic and vids, stop my internet apps from freezing and crashing, keep my fingerprint pad from malfunctioning...

And BTW... it's SOFTWARE That's in question here... The SOFTWARE is what' slowing down the phones.

Noticed these issues also where before it was only exclusive to android now seeing it on my Apple products as well. I go between Samsung and Apple products so no bias here. Phone companies really be f’n wit us.
I have both too...

And the same issues happen.

Matter of fact I have 8 total lines between phones and tablets. NONE of them are exempt. We always know when a new model is about to drop regardless of brand of hardware

Again, lil lamb...i have a S7. My complaint is about an s7

Bahhhh

I can believe it. I've had old electronics run slow regardless of the company...whether it's s Galaxy phone or a IPhone....all that shit eventually runs slow. I thought all companies was doing this.

After the initial iOS 11 update where my phone was ok, my iPhone 6+ got to the point where it was practically unusable; Siri barely worked (if at all); responsiveness when texting and typing was brutal.

I got an X (had planned to anyway before the issues with the other phone) but the 6+ is damn near a paper weight it’s so slow.

Came in calling everyone idiots.

Too emotional. Like “Aple” is the only company doing dirty shit. Enjoy your shit that needs all kinds of software to keep it safe. Technology changes everyday. If your laptop or iPad is 3 or 4 years old, you’re not too concerned about the latest or fastest. It’s just function for some. Chill.

It just hit me; Apple had that issue with the “I” button showing some random garbage a few months back; and the only way to “fix” it was to update the iOS. I’ll bet that the “I” issue was a Trojan horse to get more old iPhone users to upgrade the iOS; then they slow it down to the point of no return. Slick ass business move on their part.

I've only had one Android phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Loved it for the most part, but it slowed down on me after less than a year. Especially the photo gallery. I had about 1,000 pictures in it and it took forever for the app to open - IF it didn't outright crash. The battery started dying on me after about a year.

Conversely, my iPhones batteries tended to run well for at least two years. I have always had thousands of photos in the Pictures app, yet it would open immediately with no lag. Right now, I have 16,000 on my iPad Air 2. The Pictures app opens right away.

I'm not saying that one is better than the other. Just sharing my own experience.
