Like I said before, Melo is sacrificing his game by getting less touches. PG is sporadic and Russ is scoring 10 points a game less than last year.

Defensively they are top 3 (last I checked they were number 2) but they have no offensive identity. They never really did.

If Russ had the scoring average from last year we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Again it goes back to the Roberson and Westbrook backcourt. You can have all the ball movement in the world but if teams are not going to even bother guarding Roberson on the perimeter it stifles the entire offense. Imagine how laughable it is watching Roberson run off screens. If Roberson sets a screen he is never a threat to pick and pop, roll or cut to the rim.

Teams are now sagging the defense into the paint. They are guarding both Westbrook and Roberson beneath the 3 point line. They could get a 3 and D guy from the G league. They only need a player that could play defense, space the floor and can catch and shoot.

Then you add Melo who continues to iso

Also Melo is a HUGE problem. Dude continues to stop the ball with all the ISO plays. What is even more sad is that he does not set screens.
