Lavar Ball Removes LiAngelo From UCLA

“HE” pulled him out of UCLA.

The kid is 19 and by all measures, an adult. But dad controls their every action likely because he controls the purse strings.

Kid was part of an international incident. Domestic situation ; probably a 10-game suspension. International? In a communist country? Got you know who to stake his claim as the “savior”? Indefinite suspension was warranted. Yet pops (who I give credit for pulling the card of 45) thinks he’s somehow being wronged and this is the right course of action?

There are thousands of kids who hoop and hundreds who have D1 talent; where does he think this one, a marginal D1 talent at best, is going to land with a higher profile than UCLA? No other major program, or a lot of the mid-majors, are taking this circus on. If the kid was great; maybe. Marginally ok? Nah.

And I’ll bet dollar to a dime that the youngest won’t go to UCLA; they are going to cut bait with this whole family.

Hope he lets him pay overseas in China then go to the league from there lol

Lol, China is the LAST place he should ever want to go again; he got out because of who he was and who he was with (UCLA). A jaywalking ticket would give the Chinese the crack at him again they took an L on the first time.

Maybe some other country’s lower tier league might be an option after the study the HS film since that’s all the tape they will have.

Middle kid fucked up the whole plan. :smh:

I applaud Lavar ....stop letting these CACs use their institutions to break our kids and their spirits

...there are CACs in college who are convicted rapist who aren’t suspended from water polo and swim meets.

Fuck UCLA goto Virginia Union and dominate

he isnt the first father to pull their sons out of school for disciplinarian reasons

you niggas hate lavar worse than cacs do lol

kayshawn did the same shit and you niggas were like props

Yeah, you ever been to Nebraska for a extended period of time??

The nigga should have stayed, given up basketball and gotten a degree in sports management or business. No one believes he'll be a professional athlete so he may as well learn the business side so he can continue with the branding of his brothers.

Who’s cares with this dude and his overrated kids?

Maybe this move will help increase Lonzo’s shooting % by default....lmbao.

A whole lot of material in these tweets buy all Ill say is God bless them and I wish LiAngelo the best :D

A lot of free (well, CA taxpayer funded) showcasing off the Board, assuming that the youngest isn’t good enough to go the Brandon Jennings route to the Association. Might still end up major D1 but a lot of coaches but and ADs aren’t going to put their jobs on the line for what comes with it.

My only issue with Lavar when it comes to Gelo is the kid is not one and done, he might have a chance to play 4 years at UCLA and with his shooting got drafted but I know Lavar and his pride was not going to let him go away from his one and done idea with his boys. I'm assuming UCLA punishment is going to be the boys are suspended for the whole year.

Agree with the decision 100%.

Although dumb, this was one mistake and an open ended, indefinite suspension was in my opinion way too harsh.

He was the weaker of the 3 from what I've read, so let him go to a local JuCo, dominate there for a year, keep his nose clean, do a lil community service or something of the sort, and I guarantee the bigger universities will come knocking.

But to do what UCLA did to them was over kill in my honest opinion.

I've watched his high school highlights and there's nothing in his game that leads me to believe he has NBA talent.
He lacks quickness, athleticism, and a jumper.

I'm not even impressed with Melo, and Liangelo is less impressive than he is.

Lonzo still may do big things. Hey, it's an accomplishment to get one child into the NBA.

I don't think UCLA has came up with the punishment yet, I'm just assuming Lavar has found out the boys will probably miss the whole year.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. There is no number on indefinite suspension. That could have been a few games to a season. We don't know.

And missing the whole year is too harsh fam.

Kids do dumb shit... Those boys shouldn't have had their season taken away from them or have to sit in limbo waiting while UCLA figures out what they're gonna do.

Man if I hadn't seen ESPN report they were videotaped stealing from 3 different stores, i might agree with you.

LiAngelo is the best scorer of all three brothers, averaging around and above 30 points per season his last two seasons. Had 59-60-70 point games.
Not saying he would be that effective in college or the NBA, but niggas saying he should just stop playing bball all together is ridiculous.

This was probably a "You're fired...."No i quit!" " situation. Im not sure this is the best move, but im sure its a terrible move either. Depends on whats really going on behind the scenes.. Time will tell.

Welp......homie might need to take some Polish or Russian lessons as part of his training; might help marketability in those markets.

Lol, damn and he’s taken China off the board due to his stupidity.

Well I guess that's different than what I saw because I read that gelo was more just along for the ride vs actually stealing. Wrong is wrong and I'm in no way excusing what they did. However, I do not think it's fair to hold these kids playing career in limbo while they make up their mind what punishment they'll give them. Just come out and say they're suspended for the year, for 10 games, half the year, etc.

I don't have a problem with punishment, just the indecisiveness to come forth with a punishment.

I need to know the origins of this screen shot...
