Yep... the BGOL experts will tell you that he's helping him though. I've heard 'Its only going to help him because people are coming at him and it will make him better', 'Lavar put him on the map and was responsible for him being drafted #2' (Lonzo was on the map as a HS Junior and was National Player of the year' as a senior, etc. You can literally see his spirit and resolve being broken, and the Kid didn't deserve this shit....

A broken jump shot doesn't make a player a bust. Stephen A is a fuckin moron. Point guard is the toughest position in the league the master. He's an outstanding rebounder, passer, and not a terrible defensive player already. This is just a case of the media hyping a player up just to tear him down. He didn't say he was the next Jason Kidd or Penny. The media did. He'll be fine. He has to fix that jumper, but he'll be fine.

Bruh if you believe Lakers Brass are happy with his performance you are fooling yourself. If you believe a PG not having a jumper in todays NBA doesn't make a player a bust you are fooling yourself... Its 20 games in, he's against grown men and professionals who the second, third time around will adjust and start taking other elements of his game away. If you don't believe a parameter player who can't shoot doesn't cripple a team offensively you are fooling yourself. Rebounding or not, his inability to shoot is hurting the offensive dynamic of this team, just like once Rondo had to move away from his HOF teammates, he was just hollow stats and no success, and Lonzo doesn't have the luxury of having HOF teammates...

I am really pulling for him, but it doesn't look good. You would expect to see SOME improvement or signs of it at this point... Dude was 1-7 last game, missing lay ups and shit! His head is all fucked up. Look at his face when he misses or has to talk about it in interviews..

His Dad didn't do anything, he's just not making shots at a historic level. I mean not even making free throws. It has to be the pressure that's getting to him. The pressure of being "The Savior".

His Dad did prepare him for rough times but he's just playing bad. His Dad didn't make him the number two pick, his Dad brought him into the eyes of the general public. Lonzo's been on the map since his junior year in high school, the casual fan only heard about him when the draft was coming up.
Also, other that Patrick Beverly no players has come at him since his first game. Dude's just shooting bad. He's a step slow at times with passing and layups. Lakers coaches should've been fixed some of those issues.
Agreed, he also has to be more aggressive and fix the smaller things about his game.
The problem is a few things. Lakers don't have any spot up shooters, and Lonzo can't create off the dribble. Luke Walton is also fucking up. Last night Clarkson had it going, let him finish the game. His rotations are shitty, and we have lost at least 3 games due to this. If Lonzo isn't getting boards and dimes, let his ass shit. There are no lottery pics to get this year. And in another sports forum, they were saying a lot of is other stats, especially rebounding is in response to the fact that players are playing off of him because he can't shoot. He doesn't have a lot of pressure defensively on the parameter, so he can see the floor clearer and it opens up assist opportunities as well as rebounding opportunities.
Looking at is Assist and Rebounding numbers is fools gold in a sense in the grand scheme of things.... If he's not shooting well, he's a liability to the team and the schemes they can run.

I want him to do good but, I don't see it. He dont have a shot. If he had a killer instinct and could attack the rim that could hold him over until he develops his shot but, he looks like he has no drive to be an elite player.

It actually mean a lot, it means he can shoot. He was the star player on the team so he had good defenders on him. Also many of his shots were contested.
In the NBA, he’s shooting many uncontested open 3’s and jumpers. He’s just missing, it has nothing to do with the defenders.
I see him practicing and he doesn’t shoot like an NBA player even in practice. Point being, he was known as a shooter but something went wrong I’m not sure it’s because of the defense.
