I think some folks are waiting for the holiday weekend - almost every showing we tried to get to was sold out here, but, when we did catch a showing, saw a lot of kids going to see the Wonder movie with their parents. That could have taken some of the children away...
Definitely a fail.

and wb fucked up by rushing this . slowly reintroduce the character with their movies and build to the justice league film. if this couldn't do at least 150 in the 1st weekend it's sad. worldwide is where it at. thor is almost 700 m's, hopefully jl can do 700-800 m.

I was AT the theater and actually didn't even get to see it but the staff was telling me its doing GOOD but it aint SELLING OUT...
they said they think Thor gonna have legs but NEITHER is on Wonder Woman level.
They said they had women and little girls coming to Wonder Woman during the WEEK and after school when it was out.
And like joked about earlier THEY told me Wonder Woman could made even MORE money if they DC/WB had hustled better.

Well...its a bit early though. I'd expect more promo within the next two months.........but shit.....this is the most hyped up film.....I can think of in recent memory. Word of mouth is gonna do its job. They been showing trailers for awhile now.

not fatigue people juss don't truss dc movies..they worst than shaq free throw percentage when it comes to good movies.. suicide squad garbage, bvs ehhh, wonderwoman ok, mos depending on who you ask it was either good or bad..these trailers weren't convincing and the history says chances are this movie gonna let you down so more people prob waited for word of mouth..luckily it was a collabo movie and wonderwoman did good so it prob filled more seats than if wonderwoman didn't come outfirst..still good numbers but bvs tainted the possibilities that they should've been doin

Speaking of Black Panther, the need to remix the trailer. I have Been watching this in Cacville and the audio is shit cause the theaters can't play the 60-80 Hrz frequency of the track. It's all midrqnge and highs, it sounds shitty

Now is the time for The CW to do their version of the League..they already had a television version of Superman,now they just need WW and Batman in the mix,along with Martian Manhunter(who we'll never see on the movie screens)
The movie should have done the first avengers numbers around $200 million. Avengers did $207,438,708 in it's first weekend. I know Avengers was during the summer but watch how Star Wars hit between $150-200 in December.
I predict +200 million domestic opening weekendover under on the new star wars opening weekend...

It's a common book that children read in upper elementary/middle school - teaches good lessons about discrimination, bullying, etc. I actually thought about starting a group earlier this school year to read it, and then taking them to the movies to watch it. But, er, I've been to the theaters with a bunch of kids for 'Selma' and 'Hidden Figures.' Not doing that shit again lol
her teacher JUST gave me a copy at parent teacher conferences (the girl did good again I'm proud of her, been a rough year with her little sister situation)
that book must be good cause quite a few teachers and parents were sharing it and hyped for the movie...
apparently the children REALLY respond well to it.
when I saw the trailer I thought for sure it would be way too much for her but the teachers insisted it would be good.
