I don't think Negan is a great leader because he leads with fear. A great leader gets people to follow him/her because THEY want to. Realistically Negan would have come to a bad end at some point. He humiliated the people closest to him and was taking people's wives. His followers would be waiting for any sign of weakness to destroy him. IMO Negan has been so successful because him and his followers never really faced adversity. He always had the upper hand. Now that he has faced some adversity, his side chick betrayed him by freeing Darryl,Dwight is backstabbing him and the other communities are willing to die to fight him.Rick has made a lot of mistakes but his followers want to follow him. Instead of killing Glen and Abraham, Negan should have killed Daryl and Rick. Why leave another powerful leader alive who could later be a threat? Ezekiel ,Gregory,and Deanna were fearful people and the perfect leaders for him to control thru fear. Dwight and Rick aren't naturally fearful or evil so of course they would betray him when they got the chance. This dude openly fucked a dude's wife in front of him and burned half his face and still gave him the keys to the Kingdom. Negan is bold and charismatic but a dumbass.

When Rick was going through the halls i was thinking the same thing. But Its TV. in the comic they hardly ever use guns.
But If they put the that shit on TV, TWD would look like a slasher film.
